24.01.2022 Tomorrow night's general show committee meeting has been cancelled. Our constitution doesn't allow us to come between our valuable members and their State of Origin viewing See you next month

22.01.2022 Our general committee meeting is tonight (Wednesday 9th of December at 7.00pm) Now that the Shows and Showgrounds Industry CovidSafe Plan has been approved it will be our first opportunity to discuss what this means for us and how we can make the 2021 Crows Nest Show happen. The more show volunteers who can attend this meeting the better as the Covid planning will impact differently on different sections of the show. As always, new volunteers are very welcome

20.01.2022 The Upgrade of the Crows Nest Showgrounds Cattle Yards kicked off yesterday with an eager crew of workers disassembling a portion of the old yards. Thanks to a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, we are looking forward to seeing new steel yards to promote animal welfare and encourage more exhibits in the Prime Cattle Section at our annual Crows Nest Show and more!! Sections of the timber yards were over 70 years old!!! If the rails could talk!... Thanks to all of the workers plus Sunset Machinery Hire and T&M Earthmoving and Rural Contracting for the machinery on the ground. Thanks to Julie for these great snaps. The Crows Nest Showgrounds has been a hive of activity lately with an even bigger month ahead!!

14.01.2022 IT NEVER RAINS, BUT IT POURS FOR SHOW SOCIETY It was announced yesterday that the 2021 Toowoomba Royal Show would go ahead as normal after the Show Society rece...ived funding from the Toowoomba Regional Council. Now along with the $150,000 provided by the council, the Show Society will also receive funding for a capital works program from Clive Berghofer. The Society will receive $2 million over 5 years from the Toowoomba-based philanthropist to upgrade existing facilities as well as adding several new features across the grounds. On the list are around 50 new caravan spots, making the showgrounds more user-friendly, and adding to the equestrian facilities. Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland CEO Damon Phillips said he hopes the upgrades will allow the Show Society to attract more events to help generate much-needed revenue. He said caravaners have provided the only income stream the Society has received through the Toowoomba grounds this year. 13.01.2022 Thanks Crows Nest for filling out our survey and helping us design a Show Society for the future. We loved hearing about what you currently love and all of your suggestions for the future. Congratulations to our prize winner Kerry Schemioneck who was drawn from all the survey entries at our committee meeting last week to win a family pass to the 2021 show.

03.01.2022 Great news for shows around the region with today's announcement that the Crows Nest Show & Showgrounds will receive $10,000 under the Supporting Agricultural S...hows and Field Days program to help ease cashflow pressures and cover costs. Maranoa MP David Littleproud MP said it was important to show support for local shows in the region after most of them were cancelled this year. These events bring our families and farmers together, build community spirit and help bridge the divide between country and city, Mr Littleproud said. Mark Saturday, 8 May in your diaries. See more
