23.01.2022 River Street Twilight Market by GWFM is on again this Friday from 4pm. This month it's all about Supporting Farmers in Need! Farmers are doing it tough througho...ut Australia and this month we will be fundraising for the Buy a Bale of Hay - Making a difference to Australian Farming Families. Come on down in country fancy dress! From 5.30pm will be the Country HoeDown Line-Up and judges will select the best dressed costume. There will be a 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize - donated by Porters, Greater Whitsunday Food Network Inc and our local farmers. $2 per entry for the fancy dress - with all funds donated to the Buy a Bale. > Please note: there will also be donation tins for those who wish to donate without entering the comp

19.01.2022 Good morning weather watchers. Just a brief reminder that tonight and Saturday night where expecting big runs in the tides. This time round the tides will reall...y low followed by a big night time tide. Residents in low lying arears like far beach, Midge Point, Seaforth,Ball bay, Halliday Bay, St. Helens Beach Slade Point Bucasia, Illawong Beach, Mcewans Beach, Clairview. Thankfully these tides won’t be accompanied by strong winds so there won’t be to munch salt water inundation. Please be careful if ur parking your car at river street tonight. On another note it should be a beautiful weekend. Get out and enjoy our beautiful piece of paradise. Oh before I forget the annual light house walk is on at Bowen from 2.30pm tomorrow. Meet a the eastern boat ramp Dalrymple Point. This walk has a lot of history for Bowen. Also remember don’t lose track of time or tide or otherwise it’s a good 100m swim back to shore Have a good weekend whitsunday
