25.01.2022 Hi All Members! Please see below recommendations from the EFNL regarding 2020/21 registrations fees for your perusal: Dear Clubs,... As per club feedback and request, please see below different options and League recommendations in dealing with the season cancellation for 2020 Membership Fees. Rollovers Our recommendation is clubs should offer for Membership fees to be rolled over into the 2021 season. This option will secure the players spot within the team in 2021 and will assist in supporting clubs from a significant administration burden. Additionally, if clubs wish to increase fees for the 2021 season, a roll over member will not incur any additional fees. Administration Fee The League recommends that Membership fees be refunded or rolled over to a minimum of 75% with a maximum 25% administration fee to be kept by the club to cover incurred costs. Costs such as planning for the 2020 season, coach accreditation, first aid courses, apparel, footballs, utility charges, time and other costs which have been incurred by the club even though no games have been played. Club Donation: 2020 has been an incredibly challenging period for everyone, clubs and leagues included. Some families may wish to support to their club by donating their 2020 fees so their club can remain strong and sustainable into the future. Our clubs provide much more than just football to participants and we need them to not only survive but thrive into the future. Refunds We recommend that Membership fees are refunded for exceptional circumstances on case by case basis only. As previously stated, clubs have already incurred costs for the 2020 season. For those older age group boys and girls who finish their Junior football these fees may need to be refunded. The League is considering options for top age players but at this stage we are unable to provide certainty on this. $18 League Registration Fee The only cost that the League will pass on in season 2020 to clubs or participants is the $18 League Registration Fee. This is a non-refundable cost as costs have been incurred with insurance provided since 1st January 2020 which covers Public Liability Insurance, Directors and Officers Insurance and Player Injury Insurance. The League requires support from its clubs and their members to keep the League healthy and sustainable into the future and to ensure participation costs remain as low as possible into the future. If you have any issues or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Dyson Baker General Manager- Football Operations Eastern Football Netball League (EFN

07.01.2022 EFNL MEDIA RELEASE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Victorian Government recently announced that the current State of Emergency and Stage 3 restrictions, which commenced on the 31st of March, have been extended until midnight May 11.... That decision means there will be no change to the May 31 2020 season postponement date. This means that all club training, events, ground, and light usage remains suspended until further notice. The Metropolitan Leagues will continue to work with the AFL and await the outcome of Government’s decision on the 11th May, as to whether restrictions will be maintained, reduced, or lifted and/or whether any exemptions would be made for community sport. A half season commencing on the 13th of June or the 20th of June, should community football and netball be allowed to recommence, would be the most viable option for season 2020. The Eastern Football Netball League remain committed to the health and wellbeing of its players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and associated stakeholders and are steadfast about ensuring the long-term sustainability of all its clubs. Recently a Covid-19 survey was sent to all Eastern Football Netball League clubs to help gauge their views on the current situation. We received 62 responses which provided the following key findings. Junior Clubs 50% of Clubs answered YES to cancelling the season 87% of Junior Clubs answered YES to participating in Lightning Premiership or POOL type round robin competitions Senior Clubs 44% of Clubs answered YES to cancelling the season 44% of clubs do not believe they will be financially capable of paying a tiered salary cap starting with a $50,000 as the maximum given the impact of COVID 19. 84% of clubs are supportive of lower player payment caps for season 2020, 2021 and 2022 A further update on season 2020 will be provided following the Metropolitan League CEO’s and AFL meeting on Tuesday 12th May 2020, which coincides with the decision on Victoria’s State of Emergency Stage 3 restrictions which as previously mentioned, is currently set to end at midnight on Monday the 11th May 2020. Currently the Eastern Football Netball League office remains closed, but our staff are available by phone, zoom or email to provide ongoing support to our clubs. 03.01.2022 Wishing all the Croydon Junior Football players, family and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2020.

02.01.2022 To all Croydon junior football club members and families we would like to advise that at the moment, from recommendations from the EFNL all trainings are cancelled immediately. Our practice matches on the 22nd March will NOT go ahead, that also means our jumper presentation/family day with the senior club has been called off. Because of the ever-changing nature of COVID 19 discussions and recommendations are being updated daily. As a committee we are in constant talks with the appropriate authorities and if anything changes, we will update as soon as possible. Thanks and stay safe President.

02.01.2022 All CJFC Members, Following the recent update from Daniel Andrews and the State Government today, Metropolitan Melbourne has been placed back into a 6 week lockdown from 11.59pm on Wednesday 8th July. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the temporary immediate suspension of the season. That means all club sanctioned training and events must cease immediately for all Senior and Junior Clubs.... The League will provide a further update in the coming days. As it stands its not looking good for any football (training or matches) to be played across our League for 2020. Stay tuned and we will provide an update as soon as we receive one. Take care everyone!

01.01.2022 Hi All CJFC Families! Just a heads up, an Under 18 boy’s competition will be offered for the 2021 season and will be a ‘once off’ only competition with a reduction of on-field players to 16 given the cancellation of the 2020 competition. The Under 18’s will run in addition to the Under 17’s competition to allow those junior players to age into Under 19’s football the following season.... There will be strict rules around eligibility for this competition and will be focused specifically on those boys turning 18 years of age in 2021. The EFNL's expectation is that this ‘once off u18’ competition may be a one or two division competition with only some clubs participating. The inclusion of U18’s goes hand in hand with the decision to allow players turning 20 in 2021 to play in the U19 competition for season 2021 only. Stay tuned for more details, an email will also follow to all families.

01.01.2022 The club is looking for a players to fill gaps in Under 8s and Under 9s. Please pass onto people who may be interested in joining these age groups.

01.01.2022 JOINT STATEMENT 2020 COMPETITIONS CANCELLED The Eastern Football Netball League, in conjunction with the Northern Football Netball League, Essendon District Football League, Western Region Football League and South East Juniors wishes to issue a statement regarding the 2020 season. Following the State Government’s announcement of a return to Stage 3 restrictions in... metropolitan Melbourne for six weeks commencing July 9, the EFNL, NFNL, EDFL, WRFL and SEJ have collectively decided to cancel all football and netball competitions for the 2020 season. The common view was shared that cancelling all competitions for the 2020 season was the only viable decision in the best interest of all clubs, participants, and the wider community. All leagues and their member clubs have a clear obligation to prioritise the health and safety of all participants and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a duty to minimise the burden on all club volunteers during this unprecedented time. The leagues are committed to working closely with their member clubs, AFL Victoria, and Netball Victoria to manage the associated issues related to the cancellation of all 2020 competitions and working towards a return to play next season. We wish to take this opportunity to thank all clubs, players, parents, volunteers, officials, umpires and league partners for their patience, support and understanding throughout these challenging times. Please stay safe and we urge all associated with our respective communities to heed the advice and regulations in place by order of the State Government. We all have a role to play in ensuring our community remains safe and healthy and that we can all return to football and netball next season. All clubs are reminded that club-sanctioned training and events are prohibited until August 19, as per Stage 3 restrictions. Further updates will be provided in due course via your respective league.
