21.01.2022 It is important to give clarity to all the stakeholders as recent comments are about the entire project. The project must cater for a wide range of young people as a requisite from federal funding. Whilst a skatepark is a key part, it's budget and location is set. Other areas are funded separately ensuring the needs of young people are met and don’t impact the budget of the skatepark.

17.01.2022 Work has recommenced at the Croydon Y Space after the Christmas break with lots of concrete to be poured in the next few weeks, it is already starting to take shape. Check out the current photos

03.01.2022 A key part of the design is a skate space which will be replacing the existing Croydon Skatepark. This design has been created based on consultation meetings held earlier this year and late last year. Key features requested included; an open bowl/mini, plaza, good ledge and rail etc. We welcome those who have an interest in this part of the development to provide feedback and information on the draft design so we can adapt and revise accordingly. 1 - 1800 H Pipe Extension ...2 - 300-450 H banked kicker to kicker with flat top 3 - 300 H Split level with low flat rail 4 - Entry and turning area for change of direction 5 - 600 H Ledge 6 - 450 H Ledges 7 - 400 H Round Flat Bar 8 - 300 H Ledge 9 - Increased area for turning between acute corner 10 - 200 H Manual Pad 11 - Entry 12 - 450H Split level with Hubba and fly out ledge (potential for a 4 stair here) 13 - 1200 H Mini Ramp with steep bank extensions (1800 H) 14 - Low pipe section to maintain flow but to allow views into mini ramp from road 15 - Mini can be used separately as a 6000mm back and forth section, as a return or as a flow section from side to side.
