25.01.2022 Col and Jo Crawford with Joey McKenzie at the Tathra Hotel. We absolutely loved The Western Flyers and plan to go and see them again before they head back to the USA.

22.01.2022 VALE TERRY FOSTER Sadly, our fellow U3A member, musician and dear friend Terry passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 30th May (his 77th birthday). A valued member of the Guitar and Ukulele Group since 2014 and also a regular performer with The Croydonaires, Terry was an enthusiastic and regular attendee of our Monday morning sessions and added an extra dimension to the Groups performance with his skills as both a lead guitarist and bass player. Terry was also tutor of the Beginners Guitar Group, a group which he formed 2 years ago to assist inexperienced players. His renditions of Rock N Roll songs of the 50s and 60s as well as his cheery disposition and kindly manner will be sadly missed by his many friends. Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences go out to his wife, Jean, and the family at this sad time.

20.01.2022 Here is a fabulous feature offered by the settings in YouTube to adjust the playback speed of a video without altering the pitch. A great tool to apply when trying to work out a song on the guitar or uke!

12.01.2022 Recommended the Cordoba 22T-CE Tenor Ukulele to a friend recently. Beautifully finished with a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides, it is really good value for anyone wishing to update to an acoustic / electric ukulele for around $400. This model is featured at 1:45 into the video.

10.01.2022 Following in her grandpas footsteps, 2 year old Maya McLaren, on holiday from Hong Kong, took to the stage at the Groups Monday morning session on 28th October and, with microphone in hand, sang a verse of "Coulters Candy" (a Scottish Borders song) much to the delight of Group members.

02.01.2022 Just got home from seeing "The Western Flyers" at the Tathra Hotel. Saw them yesterday as well! Cant get enough of their fantastic Western Swing style music and Joey McKenzies dynamic rhythms on his 1948 Gibson Archtop Guitar.
