25.01.2022 Who doesn’t love some Beagle goodness! ‘Snowy’ & ‘Puddles’ are super regular here at the clinic and are seriously the most divine little pair and keep their dad on his toes! This visit was a recheck for Miss Puddles (left) after she decided to chew on some batteries.

23.01.2022 One of favourite little French Bulldog patients, Albi, had her luxating patella repaired by Dr Matthew just over 6 weeks ago now. Albi’s knee cap didn’t sit very well within its natural groove so she had surgery to deepen the groove allowing her knee cap to sit nicer and reduce her risks of arthritis setting in earlier than it needed to. Now not only is Albi very cute to look at she is actually a beautiful, friendly little dog which we absolutely love about her! Her humans are pretty cool too!

22.01.2022 Never have we seen such difficult and challenging times in the community and that has absolutely poured over into how we’ve had to operate here at the clinic. One thing we can guarantee that has not changed is our compassion and care for your pets and their needs. Inside the clinic we let the dogs have a run around and enjoy lots of treats, pats and belly rubs. While the cats enjoy a nice quiet room, scented with nice cat pheromones and lots of kitty head butts & smooches.

22.01.2022 This Handsome, chilled out, smoochy, Moustache representing, cool dude is 'Kaos'. Kaos has been a frequent flyer here over the past two months with ongoing and recurring urinary blockages. Kaos needed quite a few anaesthetics to place urinary catheters and had plenty of stays in the hospital. He has now recovered and doing really well at home with the help of a good diet and some medications to keep his stress levels to a minimum. ... Urinary blockages and stress cystitis are very common with our Feline friends and in high occurrence at the moment with everyone home due to COVID, therefore causing havoc on our cats routines! If you are finding your cat is out of sorts please contact the clinic for some help and advice on how to keep them a little happier during these times.

20.01.2022 Now we love a good puppy as much as the next crazy animal lover, but the obsession about this guy is REAL! ‘Ridge’ is a 12 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback and is the most divine little man! We’ve been seeing him for his regular puppy checks and some minor skin concerns, which are clearing up nicely! This little man is growing rapidly and recently gained 1.2kgs in a week! We can’t wait to watch him grow a whole heap more.

18.01.2022 SPRING IS HERE! We’ve had already a lot of young birds and possums brought into the clinic. Either due to loss of parents, being picked on by other animals or just a misunderstanding of what do with these precious little things. Here is a little checklist of what to do if you find a baby bird and a lot of the time it will be the same for other wildlife, however please call the clinic if you feel the animal isn’t well or if it is injured and we can talk you through what... to do. For more information on wildlife care please check out Wildlife Victoria!

11.01.2022 Wishing Dr. Danielle an amazing birthday for today. We hope you didn’t work to hard and felt plenty of love, even under the lovely face masks!

10.01.2022 This is the most delightful, happy, sweet little dog ‘Sasha’, she had her dental a few weeks ago with us. She’s an older girl but is in great condition so we scaled her teeth and removed a few problem ones. She will continue retirement age feeling a million bucks! Mum reports she’s just as crazy as her younger Pointer brother at home and now gives nice smelling kisses!

09.01.2022 ISO FEEL GOOD! Meet ‘Ally’ the Bull Terrier. This beautiful girl belongs to one of long term clients who has always brought his Bull Terriers to us. Dr Matthew has always seen his dogs and it’s no different for ‘Ally’ when she needs treatment. Hiding under the mask Dr Matthew is smitten by his favourite girl!

04.01.2022 BEFORE & AFTER! Mr Chevy is a delightful little Scottish Terrier boy who had a dental with us last week as part of his preventative care! His teeth were getting quite a bit of plaque and tartar build up which would almost certainly see his teeth and gums health deteriorate if we didn’t intervene before it was to late. His mum is super committed to keeping him healthy and making sure he is comfortable so he had a nice quick anaesthetic and had those teeth scaled back to f...resh pearly whites! Fortunately for Chevy he only lost one small tooth which was better out than in & he’s now back to his normal self!

04.01.2022 Happy International Dog Day! We love everything about our canine friends, here’s a collaboration of all our staff dogs that are well and truely royalty in their own homes. 03.01.2022 Happy belated Birthday to our nurse Anthea for yesterday. We hope you enjoyed your day and that delicious cake this afternoon!

02.01.2022 A recent report from the Food and Drug Administration in the USA investigated a possible link between certain diets and Canine Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), a heart disease of dogs. The commercial diets investigated have been labelled ‘grain-free’, meaning their source of carbohydrates were usually peas, chickpeas, lentils, legumes or potatoes. However, ‘grain-free’ is not a regulated term which means there is no guarantee ‘grain-free’ diets don’t contain any grain (many of the USA brands actually did). The FDA did find a potential link between DCM and ‘grain-free’ diets, and over 500 cases have now been recorded and are being investigated. Heart disease can be fatal and is irreversible. If you are thinking of putting your pet on a grain free diet, talk to us first and we can help you figure out what’s best for your furry friend!
