25.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Status: CLOSED Following the Prime Minister's announcement and implementation of Stage 1 regulations to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the centre is to be closed indefinitely as of 12pm today. ... This is sad news for all of us who enjoy playing sport, but for now, the priority is the health and safety of our large family of staff and players, and the wider community. We have thoroughly enjoyed bringing you a place to enjoy sports and being part of the sports community in our area. Whether for parties, sports, social activities or high level sporting competitions, the environment we have been building is one for all to feel welcome to. In being a small business, we are still unsure about how the future will pan out as this is difficult times for everyone. We rely on your support and involvement, but with our doors not able to remain open for the time being it makes things difficult. We thank you for your support over the last few hours and look forward to seeing you as soon as it is safe and appropriate to re-open. Finally, to my staff, for your hard work and dedication to making the centre be what it is, I Thank you. Especially over the last few weeks in these times, you have all gone above and beyond. 09.01.2022 Hey Everyone. We are running business as usual this week, We have been seeking advice in regards to to hygiene and well being procedures. We will be implementing some basic procedures when it comes to games and equipment. After games No Hand Shaking just a acknowledgement of a good game. Netball Bibs: One Set Per Team Per Night. It is recommended you bring your own bibs, if you can't do this we can supply and they are to be returned to the counter straight to the washing bas...ket. we recommend for your to use hand washing facility's before and after games. Our number one factor is the safety of all players , umpires and spectators. This Will be accessed on a daily basis with recommendations from all the cricket, netball and sports bodies including the Victorian government. 08.01.2022 COVID 19 - UPDATE STATUS - STILL TRADING Thank you to all that have been supportive and understanding towards this current situation so far.... Many will have seen the PMs press conference this morning in relation to the updated restrictions on indoor public gatherings of more than 100 people. We would like to confirm that Croydon Indoor Sports will continue to trade tonight and tomorrow night. At current, total numbers (factoring in spectators and cross over of time slots) dont exceed 60 people in the centre at any one time. At this point, games next week for our social nightly competitions are scheduled to be held. This is being reviewed daily. player and staff saftey is number 1 Modifications will be made to match times to assit in teams being able to leave before other teams arrive, we will also encourage patrons to leave the centre as soon as their game is completed. These measures still fall in line with government expectations at this time. We appreciate your understanding. All parents were nice and relaxed as we had ensured that extra measures are taken to prevent any possible contamination. ... -gloves are worn for all food preparation as per usual -food was distributed by the party host to all children with tongs and gloves -hands were washed prior to both snack and lunch time -surfaces are all wiped with anti bacterial spray before, during and after the party.
