24.01.2022 A strange feeling for many volunteers in Mogumber this year.....not preparing for the NYE rodeo. I hope the community takes this opportunity to recharge the volunteer battery cells. While this year's event was cancelled due to the pandemic, the volunteers have continued to work behind the scenes, preparing for the 2021 event. Well done on the new website MOC. https://mogumberoutbackclub.com.au/

09.01.2022 Did you know that December is the worst month for road trauma in Australia? Combine end of year exhaustion with the high number of drivers on unfamiliar roads, ...as well as a spike in drink and drug driving, and you have a recipe for potential disaster. Christmas should be a time of love and laughter, not loss of life. Remember to #ChooseRoadSafety this festive season. See more

08.01.2022 Thinking of all those affected by the Perth, Peel & South West lockdown, including my Grandma who turns 96 today. Wish we could see you today, however we know the restrictions are there to keep you safe. We will hug & eat cake again soon.

06.01.2022 4 February 2021 Urgent Announcement WAMIA As you are no doubt aware parts of North Eastern Perth are currently experiencing devastating bushfires.... Since Tuesday, The Muchea Livestock Centre has been a livestock evacuation site from properties in the affected areas. We are now providing shelter to approximately 200 horses, and it is likely that many more will arrive. Horses are currently occupying a significant percentage of cattle selling pens. Given the uncertainty surrounding the bushfires, the majority of these horses will need to remain at the MLC in the short term, as many owners are unsure of the condition of their property, and when they may be able to return. Against this background, WAMIA believe we are dutybound to continue to provide these animals a safe environment until the danger passes. As a result, Monday’s cattle sale has been cancelled. We ask for your patience in these testing times and trust that you will support our decision which has been made in the best interests of animal welfare. At this stage, bushfires permitting, Tuesday’s sheep sale will continue as planned. Regards Greg Lott Sally O’Brien Chief Executive Officer Chair
