02.01.2022 UPDATE | A005225815 - 16 Cambridge Street, Rocklea Council has received numerous complaints from residents since 2016 about noise, heavy vehicle movements and out of hours operation in relation to the business located at 16 Cambridge Street, Rocklea. Council conducted an investigation and determined that the underlying issues pertained to the original planning application, namely the specifications that outlined what the site could be used for, including hours of operation ...etc. When a solution could not be reached Council pursued the matter in the Planning & Environment Court. As a result of a directive of the Planning & Environment Court, a development application was lodged by the owners of 16 Cambridge Street on 21 June 2019. The application was approved on 3 September 2020 with the following conditions regarding operation of the business. It was approved as medium impact industry and must be in accordance with the following: External operation only undertaken between 5am and 10pm daily Deliveries and access via heavy vehicles to only occur between 5am and 10pm daily B-Double vehicles not allowed onsite at any time Internal operation and access by passenger vehicles to the site have no restriction To view the approval in full, visit https://developmenti.brisbane.qld.gov.au/ and conducting an application search for A005225815. Should you notice any use of the premises outside of the approved hours, or any undue noise, please contact the Brisbane City Council Contact Centre on 3403 8888 (open 24/7). I understand this has been a lengthy process and I would like to thank residents, in particular Karen, Mark and Greg, for their patience and support in working with me to reach this outcome.
