13.01.2022 Slip, slide and take the plunge into an afternoon of fun at Burpengary Splash & Movie! There will be plenty of activities in and out of the water at Burpengary Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre. Start the adrenaline pumping on the giant inflatables, chill out in the outdoor leisure pool or take part in one of the activities on offer throughout the centre. Get the gang together for a free pic at the underwater photo zone, explore the senses in the toddler’s water play activity..., be fascinated by sea creatures at the hands-on marine animal display or get the opportunity to meet an Olympic swim star! Belgravia Leisure will be running some of their popular programs across the afternoon so make sure you book in for a taste of their classes! Feast on your favourite flavour at the mini ice-cream festival featuring a flurry of frozen sweets, and end your afternoon by soaking up a sunset cinema experience on the sand complete with your favourite movie treats. This event has a limited capacity and will follow a COVID Safe Event Plan. All attendees will be required to register upon arrival using our QR code check-in and follow all safety requirements as directed by event staff. If you are feeling unwell, please stay at home and follow health advice. Gold coin donation entry to the aquatic centre for the duration of the event. 12.01.2022 Did you know property owners of residential properties are entitled to one free native plant voucher per financial year! The voucher can be redeemed for: Four tubestock; or Two x 10cm pots; or... One x 14cm pot. *Please note the type and pot size of available plants will vary throughout the year. The intention of this program is to reinforce the urban landscape and biodiversity of the region through the provision of native plants to property owners within established guidelines. The native plants can be collected from one of the following nurseries: * Bribie Island Community Nursery - 208 First Avenue, Bongaree * Caboolture Regional Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) Community Nursery - 150 Rowley Road, Burpengary * Lagoon Creek Community Nursery - Corner of Pettigrew and Toovey Streets, Caboolture * Pine Rivers Community Nursery - 15 Bunya Pine Court, Eatons Hill * Redcliffe Botanic Gardens Community Nursery - Henzell Street, Redcliffe - closed until further notice. Customers can contact the Call Centre via phone 3205 0555 or visit one of our Customer Service Centres to request a free plant voucher. Details including opening times and nursery location are indicated on the voucher the customer will receive. Nurseries will accept vouchers presented by the property owner, or a friend or relative of the property owner Council keeps a record of the number of plants issued to rated properties *owners of vacant land are not eligible for free plant vouchers.

08.01.2022 Disappointing to see vandalism at CREEC. A Wheelie bin and tank were burnt and extensive graffiti over the Outdoor classroom. If you saw anything on the early hours of Sunday morning (22nd) please report it to Crime Stoppers on 1800333000. There is no space for this behavior in our communities.
