20.01.2022 What are your BARRIERS? One of the most common barriers we see when it comes to building a social media presence is the availability of photos and videos about a business. While royalty-free images are an option, it is much better to show your audience your true business with real footage of your products, services, staff or location. Gathering some content about your business will make your social media journey SO much more effective! Even if you’re using your phone to... take photos and videos, there are plenty of ways you can use lighting, props and filming tricks to make your content look professional - just look at the awesome tips available on YouTube! Posting first-hand content can show viewers your business and who you are. A picture tells a story and this will be way more relatable for the viewer as opposed to stock or re-posted images. Are you being held back on social media by a lack of photos and videos? Start off by trying to gather some content yourself or get in touch with us to discuss our photography and videography options. 14.01.2022 How’s this for a pet peeve disguised as a helpful tip! Why we don’t recommend ‘Boosting’ posts on Facebook. Ahh, the good old ‘Boost post’ temptation. Facebook makes it super easy and appealing to simply click the ‘Boost post’ button on your posts but is this really a good move? No and here’s why: 1 Boosting posts can get more engagement on your posts but this doesn’t translate to valuable outcomes like website visits, conversions or leads. ... 2 Using the ‘boost’ button on your posts doesn’t allow for all the brilliant targeting options Facebook offers in its Ads Manager platform. This platform is a much more sophisticated way of targeting your audience’s demographics and interests so you can find the perfect audience for your offering. 3 Boosting posts can result in your Facebook ad spend not being spent as effectively as it would when using the Ads Manager. Boosted posts are placed in the Desktop and Mobile News Feed by default, which may not be the best performing place. Other placements such as stories, video feeds, the right side column or messenger can work well for ads but you won’t know unless you can test and learn from your ads through Ads Manager! If you want to get more value from your Facebook ads, get in touch with us for our Facebook Ads management services.

11.01.2022 Take a look at something we’ve recently done for a client - a puzzle Instagram feed! There are many different ways to lay out your Instagram feed - in rows, columns, alternating tiles, diagonal, rainbow colours... the list goes on! A puzzle feed combines all posts so your profile looks like a cohesive storyboard when all together. This is a great way to make your feed appear professional and eye-catching as soon as a viewer lands on your Instagram profile.... Puzzle feeds can take some extra planning as it’s important to lay out all the posts that will be scheduled for the coming rows. You also need to show value in each post once the puzzle split into each individual tile. So what do you think? What’s your favourite style of Instagram feed layout? 10.01.2022 Do you know where to find the best time to post on your social media? In some of my recent consultations, my clients have been surprised to learn how to check the most common times their followers are online. This equates to the best time to post on your socials as you’ll have a higher chance of reaching your audience at this time and increasing engagement on your posts Here’s how to find it on the two most popular platforms:... FACEBOOK Find your Facebook Page insights tab on the left-hand side of your page, then there will be a tab called ‘Posts’. Click into this and you’ll see a chart with the heading ‘When your fans are online’. Note that the data is in PST time so you’ll need to calculate this for your own timezone. Voila! INSTAGRAM On your business profile page, click the ‘Insights’ button underneath your bio. Then, click the third heading down which says ‘Total Followers’. In this page, you’ll find all sorts of information on your following, but to find the times they’re online, just scroll right to the bottom. Toggle between the Hours and Days options to find more information on when you should be posting. These insights are available to pages with at least 100 followers. I hope this helps! Comment if you have any questions you’d like me to discuss in future posts!. If you’re wanting a consultation or ongoing social media management, don't hesitate to contact us!
