25.01.2022 MEET THE CAST Introducing the Sister. Laura Helbig is a local singer, actor and dancer who has had a love of the arts since she could speak. She will also be singing at the #crushfestival for the Teens on the Greens section from 4:30pm on the 7th of October. ... Laura is a student at Shalom College and studies Dance, Drama and Music as senior subjects. Her acting debut was playing the role of Grace Farrell in Shalom’s 2018 production of Annie in which they received 4 sold out shows each with standing ovations. I’m super excited for people to see the play because I hope that the audience will be able to relate to the characters and really feel what they’re going through on both a logical and emotional level... She can’t wait to show you all this fantastic play and hope that you all love the first ever production of See-Saw.



22.01.2022 MEET THE CAST Introducing The Child. Reese Dart is an emerging actress and this is her #crush performance debut. ... A student at St Luke’s and Drama Queens Reese has had a flair for drama and writing. Reese had her first on stage role in The Pirates of Penzance at the Playhouse Theatre in 2017. Reese played the junior lead role Penny in Bundaberg’s The Time is Now in 2018 staged and directed by the talented Drama and Music department at St Luke’s Anglican School. Reese hopes you love See Saw as much as she has performing in it.

21.01.2022 MEET THE CAST Introducing the Assistant Sophia Burfitt is a local actor and dancer, whose love for the performing arts industry extends well past the stage.... Sophia has been a member of the Playhouse Theatre for 4 years, starting as a member of youth theatre. During her time at the theatre she has worked both on and off the stage, with her roles and responsibilities including crew, choreographer, makeup, props, director, ‘Kitty’ in 2018 production of ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ and most recently ‘La Fleche’ in the 50-year anniversary production of ‘The Miser’. Sophia is also involved in The Playhouse Theatres internship program, which has been successfully running for the past three years. Sophia is excited to showcase this new one-act play, written and directed by one of Bundaberg’s talented youth. See more

20.01.2022 MEET THE CAST Introducing the Therapist/Parent. Rhonda Cutmore... Rhonda Cutmore is a local maths teacher and a passionate Bundaberg Playhouse member, becoming a life member earlier those year. Rhonda has always loved singing and dancing. She has performed in 20 shows to date, in shows such as Chicago, My Fair Lady and Phantom of the Opera with Playhouse. Rhonda is also an experienced television advertisement actor, selling everything from clothes, cars and furniture. Rhonda is a real strength to the cast of See Saw, and gets to show her acting dexterity by performing two different roles across the course of the show.



18.01.2022 MEET THE CAST Introducing the Boy. Jo Baumgartner... Jo is a relative newcomer to the stage in Bundy. His first acting appearance was in Shalom College’s ‘Annie’ in June this year, as Rooster. This is where director and writer of See Saw, Isabella, saw his potential. However, Jo is no stranger to performing, and has been dancing with Encore Dance Studios from a very young age. As the Boy, Jo brings depth and honesty to his character, and the audience with be delighted in Jo’s debut in his first straight play.

17.01.2022 MEET THE CAST Introducing the Lady. Sherry Barnes... After her first show with Bundaberg Players in 1968 (The Miser), she appeared in many productions comedy, drama, musical, panto, revue returning to the Playhouse Theatre as Isabella’s stage mother in The Importance Of Being Earnest last year. Sherry’s most recent Playhouse production was this year’s 50th Anniversary reprisal of The Miser (playing a different role this time of course) Sherry congratulates Bella on this thought-provoking piece and she is very pleased to be part of it!
