16.01.2022 End of Term 1 arrangements Dear Parents, As you will be aware, Term 1 finishes this afternoon and students will be on holiday from tomorrow. At this stage, the return date for students at the start of Term 2 is Wednesday April 15. It is possible that the resumption of school from that date will be through remote and flexible learning options for which preparations are currently underway. You will receive notification regarding dates, health advice and school arrangements prog...ressively in the weeks to come. Parents who are essential services workers can access a program of care and supervision for their children at the school this week. Please email [email protected] if you wish to take up this option. Students will need access to their learning devices and resources normally stored in their lockers to complete school work should the school move to flexible and remote delivery options. If your child needs to collect belongings from the school in preparation for this, please come to the school between 2:00 and 3:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Parent Teacher Interviews that were scheduled for this week have been postponed to a date to be fixed during Term 2. Interim reports will be available for parents on Compass from tomorrow morning. We hope that families can rest, relax and stay safe and healthy in the coming weeks. The College office will be open for the remainder of this week for any enquiries. Brad Madden Principal

01.01.2022 We can all benefit from calming our minds in our day to day life, now more than ever. Try these small steps towards learning meditation or being more mindful: - Focus on the present the past has already happened and the future can wait - Observe your thoughts and feelings without judgement try not to label them as positive or negative - Bring your attention to your breath there's no need to force the breath, it will always come - If you notice discomfort or distress, k...now that it will pass we are always changing! - Be kind to yourself like a muscle, strengthening your attention takes practice, it will wander, just keep bringing it back Try these mindfulness apps: 'Insight Timer'; 'Calm'; 'Headspace'; 'Waking Up Children'; 'Smiling Mind'; 'Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame'
