25.01.2022 That's a wrap for 2020! A massive thank you to all of our lovely clients who have stuck by us in such a tumultuous year. We hope that you enjoy your celebrations over the Christmas and New Year period with friends and family. The CCHP office is now closed until January 4 2021, our staff and horses will be having a well earned break during this period. 19.01.2022 Today 3 months ago exactly Mumma sustained a fracture to her hind leg. Surgery. Hours of hand walking, weeks of box rest and rehab rides today she did her first light lesson. 18.01.2022 Hi Everyone! Just a little update, we have been inundated in the past few weeks with enquiries about private lessons during Term 3. Unfortunately due to a number of horses still injured in our school horse herd, we are currently unable to conduct private lessons. Our remaining (uninjured) school horses are doing a great job of spreading the workload to accommodate our group lesson clients and we don't want to overwork them by adding private lessons to their day.... We are also still taking a waiting list for our group lessons for Term 4 after school hours. Please email [email protected] if you'd like to be placed on this list. We hope to be able to offer private lessons again in Term 4 when hopefully (fingers crossed!) our horses have recovered. Sophie, Erin and the team at CCHP thank you for your patience and understanding.

16.01.2022 As 2020 comes to an end, we would like to take the opportunity to thank all our amazing clients for supporting us during a time that has been extremely different for every single person on this planet! We had as everyone highs and lows. We stated our young horses We nursed some Extremely injured horses back to 100% We got to start to be able to have our students back We said goodbye to two very special boys Finally got to go on one of our beloved road trips to compete We are all still finding our feet in this new world we live in. 11.01.2022 It's that time of the year again!! CRYSTAL CASCADES HORSE PARK HOT WEATHER POLICY As many of you are aware Term 4 and Term 1 occur during the very hot summer months in Cairns. Although our indoor arena does a great job of keeping our riders and horses cooler in the hot weather there are times that we have had to cancel lessons due to extreme heat and humidity (over 35 degrees Celsius wet bulb temperature) in accordance with the Equestrian Australia Hot Weather policy. As you ...can imagine, we do not take cancelling lessons lightly as the health and safety of our horses and clients is of the highest priority to us. In order to lessen the disruption to our weekly lessons in Term 4 and Term 1 we will be implementing our policy to ensure the health and safety of our clients, staff and horses such that no lessons will be conducted during the heat of the day. On days that will see the wet bulb temperature get to 35 degrees Celsius or over no lessons will be conducted between 10am and 4pm. In order to facilitate this some changes to the group lessons times will be made. 3:30pm lesson will move to 4:30pm 4:30pm lesson will move to 5:15pm 5:30pm lesson will move to 6:00pm 6:30pm lesson will move to 6:45pm Clients will be contacted by text and email at least 48hrs prior if our Hot Weather Policy (changes to the group lesson times) is to be enacted, however we will endeavour to make a call 3-5 days prior to your lesson day. Activities during lessons will be tailored to suit the weather and cool down time may be increased to keep the horses healthy. In previous years we have had 2-3 weeks per term of abnormally hot weather that has resulted in the cancellation of lessons. We hope that over the next 6 months we have an enjoyable summer and that the disruptions to our regular lesson structure will be minimal.
