25.01.2022 The Feb Report is up!! ---January's influx of new energy was very intense and I know many including myself felt a bit all over the place at times. One minute feeling expansive love and relishing bursts of joy, the next swamped in deep sadness, possibly coupled with an overwhelming sense of impending doom and an urge to escape. In order to feel centred and balanced I needed to spend a lot of time meditating and working with my crystal buddies. There were many insights and pers...onal revelations that came to light through the work, as well as a clear, and somewhat uncomfortable view of my weaknesses, shortcomings, and unproductive patterns. This sets the stage for February. At first glance the obvious area of discord relates to what is occurring in the wider political sphere. There is so much that is broken in the world and when we look at the immensity of it it is easy to feel powerless. However, when I go deeper I see that beneath all the power games there is common drive: a lack of love. This is what I see highlighted for February. http://crystalalchemyarts.com.au/monthly-dose-report.php

14.01.2022 One concern of mine is the ethics around mining crystals. I thought I would share this exchange as it is very revealing...and quite sad really. :( Geologist A: It's great to see quality specimens like this in the hands of someone who will look after it correctly and preserve an important piece of history for generations to come. I wish mines would take a more active approach to preserving these wonderful specimens rather than deliberate destruction of them. Geologist B: yes... is a shame so much gets destroyed, we are lucky that some miners are keen enough to salvage specimens when possible but as you know a lot of the time this isnt able to happen for a number of reasons. Christy Lavers: Could someone explain to me why a mine would destroy a beautiful stone? Geologis C: Many reasons but mostly because it affects production. Miners are paid to get ore out and meet production targets not collect crystals. A short sighted attitude by some mines. Some deliberately destroy pockets to stop miners wasting time collecting samples. Geologist B: The biggest majority of Australia’s classic mineral locations ( Eg - Broken Hill, Mt Isa, Burra, Cobar, Cadjebut, Luina, Renison ect) that have produced specimens are as a result of miners salvaging specimens while at work, they arnt there mining specimens even though what is sometimes encountered are worth many times the value of the commodity they are mining. Crystal pockets are met with in the course of mining the ore, depending on the geological environment hosting the ore some mines have more crystals than others, unless they are seen by a company as a commodity worthy of paying someone to salvage them they are just waste of no value. Technically most specimens from working mines are stolen property, stolen from the mining company whilst at work and on company time, numerous cases of miners getting the sack for collecting specimens have taken place all over the country.

13.01.2022 Rainy afternoon fun. Jasper and I took crystals down to the creek for a cleanse when there was a break from the rain. I realized when we got back that I had forgotten one ...a herkimer scepter... so we went back. I found the herk as well as a citrine and smoky quartz that had also be left behind! Mental note use a mesh bag next time. Now sitting by the fire using cleansed crystal to charge my new cards. Musli roasting in oven... hot chocolate on my mind. What an awesome afternoon

10.01.2022 Been busy moving house this past month. Finally starting to unwind and enjoy the new space. Spending a peaceful morning with these lovelies . Rutilated smokey quartz, chlorite included quartz, hemitite quartz and natural citrine quartz. Hmmm blissful

09.01.2022 The new crystal report is up for March. I loved the energy that flowed as I wrote it <3 http://crystalalchemyarts.com.au/monthly-dose-report.php The external theatre that dances through our shared reality seems to be getting more disturbing and absurd by the minute. The more we pay attention to what is going on in the global arena the more likely it will be that we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, distraught, and/or angry. This focus is disempowering as there... is very little we as individuals can do to directly change what is happening on the world stage. Does this mean that we are victims who must just do our best to ride out the storms? Absolutely not. We are never victims and no matter how wild and choppy the collective waters become, we all have access to the deep still pool of love that sits quietly in our centre. http://crystalalchemyarts.com.au/monthly-dose-report.php

05.01.2022 Gorgeous morning meditating by the creek while these guys enjoyed a cleanse in the gentle current . Sound is my go to cleansing method for every day...but flowing fresh water is my favorite. Their energy feels so fresh afterwards.

04.01.2022 Such a beautiful afternoon. My focus at the moment is heart attunements. I usually tune each crystal with a tuning fork before placing it on the body. This time I forgot my tuning fork..so instead I did a small meditation with each piece before placement. Worked beautifully <3! I think from now on both will have a place in this process.

02.01.2022 Good to know! http://www.geologyin.com//how-to-identify-minerals-in-10-s

02.01.2022 Playing with these guys in the morning sun . The two white ones are scolecite. Scolecite was really how my love of crystals began. I heard that it was good for calming the nervous system so I decided to get some. I was so excited when I finally found a piece...and I wasn't disappointed. I felt so at peace when i held it. I started carrying it everywhere.... even taking it to bed. After having experienced its effects I was curious and keen to explore more of the mineral kingdom. And so my journey began

01.01.2022 Some exciting things brewing in the shop. I've been at it all day. Hoping to be able to share Monday!!
