22.01.2022 Out and about last week, we cleaned and drained an above ground poly tank. Over time leaves and twigs had made their way into the tank. This resulted in the water being tainted with tannin and a layer of sediment on the tank floor. Normally, we clean the tank floor with no need to empty a tank such as this. For this job though, the homeowner had concerns over the quality of the water and requested we drain it.... Before we emptied it however, we cleaned the entire tank floor so it was in top condition for a delivery of fresh potable water. The end result was a very happy customer, who will again be able to use the tank water in their home.

14.01.2022 Did you know we normally only use between 15 and 60cm of water to clean a water tank. That's right! There is no need to empty the tank. Using a vacuum system, only the sludge and debris is pumped out with minimal disturbance to the remaining water. 07.01.2022 This above ground concrete tank was installed by the homeowner when he built his home. He had a first flush system and regularly cleaned his gutters. One thing he didn't do though was check inside the tank to see what the tank floor looked like. He called us out when dirty water started coming through the taps inside the home. When we had a look, the water itself was clear but there was a thick layer of sludge which had now reached the outlet.... After a quick set up, we quickly pumped all the sludge out with minimal water loss or disturbance to the remaining tank water. He was amazed at what was being pumped out of the tank but was very happy he now has clean water through the home again.

05.01.2022 As a preferred supplier for Reflections Holiday Parks, today we cleaned a couple of tanks at their Seal Rocks park. Using ground water drawn from a spear point, the tanks had a lot of suspended silt. This is most likely due to recent rain affecting the water table. With our priority of safety and minimal disruption to the environment and their customers, we completed a Take 5 and quickly set up the work site.... We efficiently removed the tainted water and sediment from their tanks, timing our work so the tanks were ready for delivery of fresh potable water by a local water carter. Our work assisted park management meet one of their core values of continuing to exceed their customers' expectations. It also helped their infrastructure comply with health regulatory standards.

They were not aware of how dirty the tank was until their washing came out stained and dirty. Space saving water tanks are generally installed in residential areas as a water-wise measure for use in the laundry and bathroom. ... 01.01.2022 Helped out a lovely couple in Pindimar NSW who were having trouble with dirty tank water. Living in a coastal area with a lush garden, fallen twigs and leaves had accumulated on their concrete tank and catchment area. They had first flush diverters installed and updated their filtration system. Over time though some of the vegetation ended up as sediment in their tank. Left unchecked, it eventually reached the level of their outlet.... After a quick assessment, we explained what we would be doing and gave them some advice and hints to help them maintain the quality of their tank water. We used only a few inches of water and quickly removed the build up of sediment with minimal water disturbance to the remaining tank water. The end result was a very happy customer who could once again rely of their rain water tank to provide fresh, clean water.
