18.01.2022 We asked our guests to support the Kangaroo Valley Wildlife Initiative Donate a Tree scheme instead of planting a tree on our property. This meant that two local properties who were devastated by the bushfires could plant natives to help the wildlife and insect habitat. Here are some pics of the plants purchased from The Village Green Nursery and then in their new home at our friends' property - the birds will love these fast growing bottle brush.Thank you everyone who chose to donate.

16.01.2022 Great little shop Kangaroo Valley General Store! Lots of fresh local produce including veggies, blueberries, honey, cakes, and olive oil. Mark also makes fantastic knives - excellent Christmas presents!

11.01.2022 Just had a trip to The Treat Factory & The Dairy Bar at Berry to pick up chocolates for our Deluxe baskets. Such a fabulous shop filled to the brim with local hand made chocolates, and for the non-sweet tooth chutney, sauces and jams too.

08.01.2022 Great news for 2020 is that we had our first bee swarm. Don't BEE alarmed - they didn't hurt anyone. In fact my bee swarm was hot property as everyone in Kangaroo Valley seems to be setting up new a hive and wants a swarm to populate it. The whole swarm, including a queen, have been carefully taken to new pastures to provide beautiful honey. Thank Goodness the drought is over and the Valley is flush with native and exotic flowers. Mother Nature is so amazing.

Christopher is dedicated to sharing his research and tireless work, and this is great recognition for both him and our guests and the excellent results we have achieved together. 04.01.2022 The pond outside Billabong Cottage looks like a Monet painting today

04.01.2022 Really fab museum to visit for adults and kids. Shows life in early pioneer days. Believe it or not I grew up with an outdoor pit 'dunny' as did (and maybe still do?!) many country folk! (All mod facilities in our bathrooms here now - haha!)

03.01.2022 I was mowing yesterday and saw this Eastern Long Necked Turtle by the rocks at the pond. It didn't move so I went to check I hadn't hit it, and what do you know, it was laying eggs! Actually saw one coming out!
