For those that dont know, the new biological virus, calici RHDV K5 strain has been released to kill the wild rabbit population. According to the information available ALL rabbits that are not vaccinated and come into contact with K5 will die!!! To make it even worse there is a massive shortage of the CYLAP vaccine. For more info on K5 check out this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1486751604975052/

19.01.2022 Intresting to watch......

19.01.2022 This is a call out to all our FB friends. AAPS are a local shelter who provide the community with VERY CHEAP DE-SEXING of dogs, cats & rabbits. Not only do we refer all our customers to use their vet services, many small local rescue groups use them for desexing & rehoming unwanted/dumped & stray animals. It would be a disaster if they closed their doors. They put other vet practices to shame with their amazing pricing(check out their website). Please click on the link & sign this petition and show your support for them. They are only after 500 signatures but on this page alone we have nearly 9000 followers!! Surely we can show our support and double that number. https://www.change.org/p/christine-giles-the-board-of-austr

16.01.2022 Genius!! Calm ya farm people... it not a serious thing, it's just for laughs. No one would leave their chooks in there permanently and they are definitely not predator proof.

06.01.2022 Ok everyone ... regarding AAPS SHELTER AND VET CLINIC .Their annual general meeting is today at 2pm!! If you are a member we need you to be there!! Waltzing Matilda Hotel. https://www.waltzingmatildahotel.com.au The closure of the vets is the least of our worries, they are wanting to close the whole shelter as they are too tired too continue! We'll stand down and let someone else on the committee who isn't tired and will keep both open! By law the committee cannot make the d...ecision on their own. It MUST go to the members for a vote! So let's let them know we will NOT tolerate them trying to push this through without consulting us! There are some fantastic people who can step right in now, who should be on committee! Let's elect the right people and get the wrong ones out! (copied from Julies post) See more

03.01.2022 If anyone has clean spare egg cartons they do not need we would love them!

03.01.2022 This is how hens should be raised!! Their feet in the dirt and wind in their wattles

03.01.2022 We save our egg shells to feed back to our ex battery hens. Because they lay year round, the extra calcium in their diets can help to keep their egg shells from becoming soft.
