25.01.2022 We are always heartbroken when our clients pass on, particularly suddenly. But we’re also happy when we meet their new family members if and when the time is right for them again. Juno the adorable border collie has big shoes to fill from her previous big brother Shadow who we loved dearly. Juno is already well on track, being her first groom she was such a good girl and took it all in her stride, such a sweet matured girl, she was a great end to a long day. We look forward to seeing you again soon beautiful.
25.01.2022 Merry Christmas Sarama! Our last client photo for the year Sarama made it in extra early this morning for a pre Christmas clean up. She sure knows how to pose with her Santa hat, thanks gorgeous .
24.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! We have nearly made it, the last day of our first week back. All bookings for our regular clients are now back open as we have been in touch with 99% of our lock down appointments, thankyou for your patience during this time, moving 8 weeks worth of dogs was no easy task. So let's do this together as a team, and Kea says may we move as fast as she does when trying to catch a runaway sheep haha. It is important you read all of the below prior to contac...Continue reading
22.01.2022 Happy New Year to all of our lovely clients. As we click over into 2021 we can only hope it’s a little less eventful than last year but we hope for health and happiness for all. We return to the salon Monday at 9am and have a couple of appointments available for the first day back. Send us a message if you’d like to secure a spot. Otherwise we’ll back in person and manning the phone from Monday. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
20.01.2022 Great news for 2021! As our team grows we have permanently opened additional appointments each week and we’re pleased to announce we will continue to open every second Saturday commencing this Saturday 16th Jan. Call now on 9876 1377 to secure an appointment.
20.01.2022 As if things weren’t crazy enough when we were thrust into sudden lockdown, it also coincided with Sandra commencing her first lambing season, beginning the second last day in the salon . She returned home late from work on the Tuesday to find not one but two sets of twins waiting for her (a little earlier than expected for these ladies). Yes this was also the day it snowed and then we had our final massive day in the salon on the Wednesday so it was a crazy couple of days.... The other girls were kind enough to wait until lockdown was underway and she now has a paddock full of little lambs! All in all we’d call it a great success for a first attempt, we hope these adorable pictures bring a smile to your day, pictured between brand new and 2 weeks old as some of them are now. We thought you might also get a giggle out of Popcorn, not even groomers dogs are safe from mud, she just couldn’t wait to meet her new friends so she dug under the fence to go and meet them earlier this week whilst she was pleased with herself suffice it to say she won’t be as pleased with the bath!
20.01.2022 Week 5 of lockdown is well underway, it's the first day of spring, it's all happening! We hope you all survived the storm last week, never a dull moment it would seem. But like you, we are still waiting for further guidance and information regarding when we're able to reopen. Please be patient during this time as we have no more information than the next person and as such are not taking any bookings at the moment. A gentle reminder we will be rescheduling the 6 weeks of cancelled appointments prior to taking any new bookings as hundreds of dogs have missed out on their grooms. We know this will create a backlog but we will work as hard as we can to get everyone back on a regular schedule and looking their best as soon as we're able to reopen.
20.01.2022 Christmas wouldn’t be complete without samoyeds Eiger and Mawson and this time with their sidekick Bonnie the westie. Handsome as always, and beautiful Bonnie, they are now all Christmas ready. Thanks white club!
20.01.2022 ***We will remain closed beyond the initial lock down period*** Please note in light of today's announcement along with our fellow other businesses we will sadly remain closed until further notice. We will yet again await more information regarding the stepped easing of restrictions. as it is unclear if we fall within Step 2 or 3. We know they cannot possibly mention every business and trade and the implications, please bear with us while a seek clarification over the coming ...week. As these steps are largely dependent on the number of cases no firm reopening date will be know for some time, regardless of our classification. Please be patient during this time as we are managing it the best we can, as we all are. We know the possibility of total closure being between 8-12 weeks is very concerning and distressing regarding the health and well being of your dogs, we too are increasingly becoming worried about the time frame but all we can do for now is await further instruction and do our bit to control the spread.
19.01.2022 Baby Raf the Havanese puppy came in with his big sister for his first salon visit this week. He said just a tidy up please, I’m taking this hair cut thing slowly and mum loves my luscious locks still . Raf was in wonderful condition and thoroughly enjoyed his pamper session and making new friends. Lockdown has been challenging for baby puppies too. The inability to get out and socialise much has been challenging but he handled the new environment and new friends like a star. Thanks handsome .
17.01.2022 A bit of late night goodness on Monday introduced us to the super cute Maggie the schnoodle. She came in for her first big girl hair cut. She can now see again and is looking all ready for Christmas.
16.01.2022 Happy International dog day! We can’t go very far and we can’t do much but we shall celebrate it none the less. We’re missing seeing all of your lovely faces, our four legged clients and their lovely two legged owners but we have now passed the halfway mark! We hope you’re all going ok, staying strong, staying safe and we’re hoping we can see you all again in a few short weeks. For now here’s some photos of Sandra’s dogs to help celebrate, veterans Rory and Cookie, with more bright eyed Kea and Popcorn in between, they’re all dirty, in need of a bath but that’s just the way they like it. And the puppies haven’t mastered sitting still for photos yet haha.
15.01.2022 Welcome back to another week. Sadly there’s been no changes to restrictions, we eagerly await more announcements and we’re hopeful we can get back to more normal trading in the coming weeks/months. However we’re pleased to say: We are now accepting bookings for new clients small - medium sized dogs only We have caught up on all of our lockdown appointments and the phone and messages are resembling a more normal amount so if you haven’t been with us before and are in need of an appointment give us a call in 9876 1377 to secure an appointment. Please note we are still fully booked for all large and double coated breeds for the year and December is nearly full.
13.01.2022 Great news! From next Monday 16th November: ***Walk in services and nail trims are returning*** Please note due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and the need for a covid-safe workplace the way we operate, particularly around social distancing requirements has not changed. As such please ensure you observe the following conditions:... - Walk in services will available from 9:30am onwards daily - this will enable us to get all of our full grooming booked dogs into the salon first - Only one person is to bring the dog into the salon, wearing a mask and observing social distancing markers and drop off instructions upon entry - You must leave your dog in the salon with us for 15-20 minutes and we ask all owners to leave the salon, do not loiter outside the salon, and return 15-20 minutes later - this will limit the time our human companions spend in the salon in line with current restrictions - Our eftpos min is $20, to avoid a surcharge please bring cash for all walk in services under $20 Thankyou for your ongoing cooperation, support and understanding, we're getting there in terms of getting back to covid normal and we look forward to seeing even more of you again soon.
13.01.2022 We’re currently just having some NBN/phone works done so the phone is offline. Hopefully it won’t be too long, PM or DM us in the meantime if you need to get onto us now...
13.01.2022 We are well and truly back into the swing of things! We have already met so many wonderful new puppies in the last few days including Dusty here. We are currently booking 5 weeks in advance for our larger friends and we have varying availability for small - medium breeds, Thursday’s and Friday’s fill up the quiets so get in quick .

11.01.2022 Here are another two ways to have our voices heard: If you feel dog grooming is essential, please help by lodging a complaint with the DHHS via their website stating why dog grooming is essential to the welfare of your dog. The more complaints, the more likely we can make a difference. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/making-complaint... And/or Contact your local member via their email again stating why groomers should be allowed to open sooner with the ease of restrictions. I have included a link to the Ringwood member but am aware many of us live outside of this area, simply search for your local government area and the local member will come up. https://parliament.vic.gov.au//list-all-l/details/22/1736 The petition, plea's from vets, anecdotes from owners and small businesses alike is gaining really good traction as groomers have been discussed daily on at least one media platform.
11.01.2022 ** Spots are now filled thankyou ** Do you have a small dog in need of a groom? Due to some last minute changes we have some appointments available for **small dogs only** for a clip or tidy up this week! Just in time for the warmer weather ... Limited days and times available, so please send us a message here or call us on 9876 1377 to secure a spot. Thankyou
10.01.2022 Please note we are now fully booked for all of December for all breeds and all sizes We will now begin a cancellation waiting list for those not yet booked. Call us on 9876-1377 to be placed on the list and thankyou to everyone who has called and booked in.
10.01.2022 Great news everyone, we can confirm we will be seeing you tomorrow and into the coming weeks as we are officially allowed to return to the salon . An enormous amount of work has gone on behind the scenes this week so I’ll keep this short, we’ve got a long month or two ahead of us all. Stay tuned for covid safe changes to the salon and what it might mean for you, how to drop off and pick up your dogs etc. ... I foresee we’ll be able to start taking new bookings by the end of the week, keep an eye out for when you can start calling to book in, for now we’re still trying to rebook the last of our cancelled appointments from lock down. So enjoy what’s left of the weekend and we can’t wait to see your smiling faces again real soon .
10.01.2022 LIMITED AVAILABILITY LEFT IN NOVEMBER With Christmas fast approaching, we have opened more appointments for the rest of November (Just in time for this warmer weather ) Limited spaces available and spots filling quick! Call our salon on 9876 1377 or message us directly to secure your appointment! ...
09.01.2022 Good morning lovely clients. Unfortunately it has been confirmed that currently we fall within the Step 3 category which means at best we will be returning end of October, this is an estimate only however as it is primarily based on case numbers. As such all appointments booked during this time are sadly cancelled by default. We will not be taking any bookings during this time and once we have a return date our first priority will be to rebook all of the thousands of cance...lled appointments during this lock down. This will take us to Christmas and beyond to reschedule all of these appointments, it’s going to be a very stressful and hard return to the salon, please be patient we are all in this together. We understand how distressing this prospect is for you and your lovely dogs, we too are very concerned about the health consequences this will have for your dogs. We as a grooming industry are doing all we can to voice these concerns, as we believe it is a huge welfare oversight, I will share what you can do in the following posts for now any posts, photos of your dogs please feel free to use #clipandcollect to highlight that we can work contactless as we have been since March.
09.01.2022 Below is a link to a petition to have us reclassified and allowed to reopen sooner. Please sign it and share it around, every signature counts. More ways to support and be heard will be shared throughout the day.
08.01.2022 In light of the exciting news yesterday please see below for some updated information: We hope to reopen on the 28th however it is subject to case numbers falling between the 30-50 average as per Step 2 requirements As such we will NOT BE RE-BOOKING ANY APPOINTMENTS until closer to this date to ensure we can actually reopen on this date to avoid moving hundreds of appointments multiple times. Anyone awaiting a call or message regarding re-booking will know more througho...ut the week starting 20th September We are awaiting more official details in writing from the DHHS regarding the 5km rule as to if pet grooming falls under "welfare", we hope to have confirmation this week There will be some changes to drop off, pick up and payment arrangements to ensure a 100% contactless service can be provided in line with Covid requirements, more details regarding this will be shared in the coming weeks No new bookings will be taken once we reopen, our first priority is to reschedule cancelled appointments from this lock down period for their health and wellbeing We are yet to look at bookings previously made for post lockdown and the implications the re-booking will have on these appointments, we imagine there will be some reshuffling and rescheduling of these appointments to remain fair those who have had appointments cancelled 8 weeks ago, they will be our priority for their health and welfare, we will work through bookings in a timely, chronological order. We can only ask for your patience and understanding during this time, it is challenging for all. We are unsure at this stage if walk in services will be available or if they are feasible within the Step 2 restrictions and covid-safe trading requirements As per current restrictions and guidelines if you have any immediate health concerns or grooming needs please go to your local veterinary clinic as they are currently the only ones permitted to undertake grooming services for welfare needs only We are being inundated with emails, private messages, DM's, comments etc. We know everyone is keen to get back in to the salon, we are loving the enthusiasm but please be patient during this time, it will take us to Christmas and beyond to recover from the time lost due to the lockdown, there is a lot of work and planning that will need to go in to this time. There are many questions to be answered from our end also regarding the safest way to conduct our business to ensure we are able to remain open so please refrain from messaging, calling or emailing regarding booking your dogs in, if you had a cancelled appointment we will be in contact in the coming weeks. Thanks from the whole CSB team
07.01.2022 Outstanding news is just in! Salon based groomers like ourselves are now reclassified within step 2, with a hopeful reopening date of 28th September!!!! This is outstanding news and we’re thrilled. Leave it with us to make a plan and we will begin contacting everyone to reschedule booked appointments over the next couple of weeks prior to reopening. ... As stated previously our first priority will be to reschedule the cancelled appointments, we won’t be taking any new bookings just yet. We know everyone is overdue and keen to get back in but we will need to work through these appointments in order to remain fair to all. Everyone is in need, the long hair, curly hair, skin conditions, heart conditions you name it but we will do our best to get through them all the best we can. Thankyou all so so much for your ongoing support we hope to talk to you all real soon. Sandra & the whole team.
06.01.2022 Merry Christmas to Lexie and her family. We have been grooming Lexie too many years to count . She’s just as adorable as day 1 though .
06.01.2022 Onto this weeks happy hounds Roxy is all clean and fresh, ready for Santa-paws. She always comes on tail wagging and smile on...then you pull out the camera and she does her best serious face haha, thanks Roxy have a lovely Christmas!
06.01.2022 A quick Monday salon update. Due to some staff illnesses (sadly more than one ) we’ve had to reshuffle appointments for this week and as such we’re not as quick on the phone or the messages. Thankyou for your patience and understanding thus far particularly to those who we have moved around last minute and apologies for the delay if you haven’t heard back from us yet you will as soon as we’re able. For now we’re working on the dogs in front of us and ensuring appointments are manageable for the team on the tools. In line with covid safe (and our general health let’s be honest) anyone who is unwell is not in the salon.
05.01.2022 You may have noticed a new face in the salon post our lockdown return, so it must be time for an official introduction. Please welcome Hannah to our team! Hannah will now join Sandra, Gracie and Sophie in the salon a few days a week and we're thrilled to say she'll also be opening on alternate Saturday's in the coming weeks - watch this space! Hannah has recently moved back to VIC but she and Sandra actually worked together many years ago and she too has border collies among... a few other breeds, poodles and lowchens, just to name a few. She brings with her many years of dog grooming experience, too many to count, and has worked all over Australia and around the world, particlularly in the USA. She is a Best in Show Dog Grooming winner, is currently halfway through her Masters in Grooming and brings with her additional qualifications of a Bachelor in Zoology, and Cert III in Behaviour and Training. We are very excited to welcome Hannah officially to our team, please feel free to say hi next time you're in the salon.
04.01.2022 Sandra and the team are devastated to share new of the sudden loss of one of our mascots, Cookie. Cookie heartbreakingly passed away earlier this week after a short battle with a very aggressive illness, most likely cancer, only a month away from her 11th birthday. Cookie was such an influential dog in Sandra and husband Anthony's lives, she was Anthony's first samoyed, the founding bitch of their samoyed kennel and the mother of Popcorn and Waffles. She was the most loyal of companions, the matriarch of the household and she never put a foot wrong but she sure kept everyone else in line. She was so important to Sandra's life that she and Rory became the faces of the salon logo some 6 years ago, she even went to a grooming competition with Sandra, earning a 1st place together. We are in shock, rest easy dear Cookie, it was far too soon.
03.01.2022 Covid-19 salon update Done! We have now called the 400+ appointments we had to cancel or move around due to the lockdown. Here's a little wrap up from 2 days, two people and a whole lot of snacks haha: 330 phone calls 60 facebook conversations (not including new booking inquiries, you'll be next week ;) )...Continue reading
02.01.2022 Happy new year to us . Please note we will be working in a limited capacity tomorrow morning due to a scheduled power outage. As such we will not have phone or eftpos use from 8:30-12:30 (we hope it’s only that long). Please send us a message if you’re trying to get onto us during this time, alternatively check back in and see if we answer . Thankyou to all the appointments we have reshuffled. For any drop in services we will be open until 8pm for tomorrow only. ... A friendly reminder to please also wear your face mask when entering the salon as per current restrictions. Thankyou all and welcome back!
02.01.2022 We have called and you have answered. Just a quick update to say we have now called or left messages with everyone who had an appointment booked during the 6 week lockdown. Many people answered, some voicemails were left, some voice to text messages were left (though I never know how much to trust these, I always wonder what makes it through ) and for those who have commented or messaged via Facebook or instagram we know you saw the message that we’re closed so we saved you... the phone call with the information you already knew . To reiterate, we will be in contact again once we have confirmation that we can reopen to begin the enormous task of rescheduling everyone - to give you an idea we’re talking appointments in excess of 300 dogs . We will not be taking any bookings during the lockdown period as the phone is not currently manned and we were already heavily booked well into October, even pre lockdown, we will be rescheduling these appointments prior to making new ones. We’re already 2 weeks into the 6, stay strong, stay healthy and we’ll try and keep you updated on what we’ve been up to at home over the coming weeks. Thanks so much again for your patience and understanding.
