25.01.2022 ROUND TWO MATCH REPORTS On the back of a couple of good showings in Round One, we entered Round Two with high hopes of picking up three wins. 23.01.2022 TRAINING TONIGHT & SUBS DRIVE EVENT UPDATE (LAST PUSH) Redbacks, what an absolute day for it today. 22 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, there should be absolutely no excuse for anyone to miss training today. We have another huge session coming up today, with all 3 teams building momentum and we approach Round 4 this week. ... We are now operating with all 3 nets and with the expected numbers for training tonight all nets will be full with fielding to be run as well. There is massive pressure on spots in all three teams this week, the people who are putting in the work and showing up to training are the ones that are going to be rewarded with selection. We are also holding our first function this weekend on Saturday night which is down to the hard work of all players that have paid their subs up to now - Alternate Sports Code Night. Dress up as an alternate sport for the night e.g: Footy Player, Golfer, etc. Cash prizes for the best dressed, so put in the effort and get the reward! The club has agreed that if we can get to $5,000 in subs paid by the end of Round 4, the club will be putting on Half price drinks. We are currently sitting at $4,400, so what that means is we need 2 a bit more people to pay their subs and half price drinks are a go! All family and friends welcome, so please get on the invite and get them down. This will be a great bonding session, with heaps of games, buckets and maybe a bit of Fire & Ice ;) Get down to the Web at 7:00 for a big night. Can't wait to see you all there tonight for a big selection and a huge night on Saturday - Let's get out there and work towards 3 big wins and great night on Saturday. Up the Spiders!

23.01.2022 ROUND THREE TEAMS Redbacks, it's great to see so many faces coming down to training, let's keep up the great work coming into Saturday where all three teams will be vying to get wins on the board. Very competitive effort last week from the 1's and 2's with the twos getting their first win on the board, with the ones falling just short. The threes also got off to the perfect start to the season albeit through a forfeit. ... The captains are really starting to face a selection conundrum, with so many players available, so it is pivotal that you get down to training and put the hard yards in, because if you keep showing up, you will get picked. 1ST XI vs Washington Park @ Packer Park Reserve - Be there at 11:30 AM Schmall King James Saker Kevin Pereira Tom Cameron Will Nash Victor Morrow Noombie James Mcmahon Fintan Brazil Scott Patchy Adams Nick Brazil 2nd XI vs West Bentleigh @ Home. 22.01.2022 Redbacks, We have a special event for the club this Sunday 7th February. In memory of one of the great Redbacks players, Martin ‘Doctor’ Reid, we will be playing a Twenty20 match against the club he most recently played with, Knox Boronia Churches at their home ground. ... This will be the second year we have played the commemorative match after their club travelled to play us at Lords this time last year. It was a fun game played in great spirits, albeit with plenty of competitiveness, as Doc would want. Long time teammates of Doc - Noombie, Nutta and Farmer - will be donning the red and black, among a number of our current First XI. The match will start at 1.30pm. Location - 30 Dorrigo Drive, Boronia Just off Mountain Hwy. If you would like to represent the Redbacks team, please let Miichael Hulston know. It would be great to see as many of the Redbacks family there as possible. Up the Spiders

18.01.2022 **TEAMS** Redbacks, we are back in action this weekend and have 3 massive games coming up this Saturday. The ones are facing Cluden this week and with two wins in the last two rounds, the boys will have a great chance of holding second spot on the ladder. Fresh from a week off and a strong team in this week, this is a massive game.... The twos are sitting outside the top 4, but play Chelt Park this week in a do or die clash. The seconds have been up and down like a yo yo this week, but are looking to get things to click this week. Once again, a very strong team in, the boys must knuckle down and get the win to push for finals. The thirds, led by inspirational leader Big ZACCY High, have hit form at the right time. The fearless leader, coming off a fresh 50 not out is leading the way, with hitters like Tushar and Woody ably supporting him. They face Cluden gold at home, and will be hoping that the boys get the job down with the bat so the Barber can spin a web with the ball. Teams - 1ST XI vs Cluden @ Home.
