24.01.2022 Alby's portrait was done on commission for a client for whom I've done several other portraits before, and I always love to work with. This sweet boy is Alby, who sadly had to be put down earlier this year. Though he started off in dog fighting, he was rescued and found his way to his forever home as a two-year-old, where he was a treasured part of the household. 24.01.2022 Photo by the talented @nibandshutter . People who visit my market stall sometimes ask me if I get hand or wrist pain from drawing so much, and I always have to laugh. One of the keys to my technique is keeping a light hand for the majority of my work. In contrast, when I'm writing, I keep a much tighter grip of the pencil and I press harder on the paper.
