17.01.2022 Another day learning in the bush. Today we went out with intentions to continue our talk about caring for our environment. We had planned to take a small saw with us so that we could clear the plastic from the trees where we sit to eat morning tea. Just after morning tea we saw a carrawong fly down and take a piece of mandarin that we had accidentally left on the ground. Soon the carrawong came back. This time he thought he had a piece of mandarin but it was actually a piece of orange plastic. This was a very good learning experience for the children as they were able to see first hand what happens if we leave plastic or rubbish in the bush.
