24.01.2022 To Our Members In a letter from Dr Kerry Chant, Chief Health Officer, sporting organizations have been requested to implement measures to minimize the risk of C...OVID-19 transmission related to participation in community sports. Based on advice from the NSW Government’s Chief Health Officer, Baseball NSW have outlined what is not applicable as of August 19th for six weeks, ending September 30th. We have drafted separate announcements that are relevant to Senior, Junior, and Country baseball respectively. Baseball NSW wishes to further remind it’s members to continue to adhere to the current Public Health Order and follow the prescribed procedures which include social distancing and practicing good personal hygiene. 18.01.2022 In an update from Chief Health Officer, Dr Kerry Chant, it was announced that as at Saturday 26 September, interregional community sporting competitions were ab...le to recommence without restricting activities to regions or zones. The advice provided in August regarding limiting spectators to one parent per child, and inter-region sport and recreation activities have been removed. Community sports organisations and participants should continue to avoid shared travel arrangements such as car-pooling, along with minimising social gatherings before and after the event. Community sport organisations may choose to still limit spectator numbers at matches, subject to the protocols within their COVID-19 Safety Plans and based on factors such as the size of their venue, match scheduling or hiring requirements placed on them by venue operators. 01.01.2022 Community Grassroots Recovery Package Baseball NSW are delighted to announce that we have been working closely with the NSW Office of Sport to secure assistanc...e for Grassroots Sports. We are now able to provide funding for clubs and associations to assist with any financial hardship incurred due to COVID-19. The Community Sport Recovery Package will be available to eligible clubs and associations as of July 1st 2020 subject to certain criteria, and must be paid by July 31st.
