21.01.2022 The guidelines have now changed as to what is considered appropriate for Real Estate Agents. As of midnight on 12 May, on-site auctions and inspections were allowed in Victoria, with attendance limited to 10 people, in addition to the real estate agents and occupants of the residence in question. Agents are required to keep records of attendees names and contact details, as well as enforcing strict social distancing and hygiene practices. In the Open-For-Inspections I hold, ...each attendee is required to share with me their name and contact details, as opposed to a single person from a group. In the instance a person who attends one of my properties contacts COVID-19, I will be able to quickly identify all people who may have been affected. I want to ensure I am doing my bit to protect the community in any small way I can.

SQM Research forecast Melbourne property prices to grow +11% to +15% next year - based on a cash rate of 0.75%, a stable economy with no changes to current lending rules. The worst case scenario has the Melbourne market growing 0% to +4% in 2020, based on a scenario where trade talks collapse, the economy weakens and interest rates are dropped to zero.

"Tenants will have the right to keep pets, provided they obtain the landlords written consent first which can only be refused by order of VCAT. The onus will be on the landlord to get approval from VCAT to refuse consent to a pet, once they have received the request from the renter. When the lockdowns eased and inspections were again permitted, capturing data and insisting on hand santitiser for every person attending an inspection was procedure. ... Upon hearing of the hot spot flares last week, Gabriel Mercuri and I stepped up our pandemic awareness, offering face masks to every person who attended our inspections. This week, with the new announcement of suburb lock down, we have decided to limit the before auction inspection of the property located at 26 Gray St Brunswick to registered bidders only. Every person who attends the auction will be requested to wear a face mask. The Brunswick police station have been informed of our registrations and procedures. For those who cannot attend the Gray St auction in person due to the new lock down rules, we are exploring and will likely adopt an online platform. This will allow all registered parties to bid for the property.
