24.01.2022 Did you know.....? St. Andrew (patron Saint of Scotland ) was the first apostle to follow Jesus (along with his better-known brother, Simon Peter) and the first Sunday of Advent always falls on the Sunday closest to St. Andrew’s feast day of November, 30. The novena to St. Andrew is traditionally known as the Christmas Novena in anticipation of Christmas .

12.01.2022 Hard as it is sometimes it is important that once a child starts school that parents remain involved in their learning. Many years of research show categorically that when parents/carers are engaged in their children's learning, there are really positive benefits for children. Why not use the new school year as an opportunity to find our how you can engage positively in your child's educational journey.

11.01.2022 National Road Safety Week will switch focus to regional roads this Friday, 20 November with the theme Shine a Light on regional road safety. Fatalities and serious injuries on regional roads continue to be over-represented in WA crash statistics with around 60% of all deaths occurring on country roads. The Road Safety Commission approached Wheatbelt farmer and photographer Alan Carter to produce an image that embodied the Shine a Light message for National Road Safety Week. ...I am a keen photographer and the prospect of being involved in a ‘shoot’ like this was a great opportunity to add to my experience and learn some new skills, said Mr Carter. Rural communities are very tight knit within towns and between towns - we do business, socialise, and play sport within our regions - and every loss of life or major injury has an impact on us all. No one’s life or physical ability to realise their goals need be cut short by a small inattention while on the road. The response from the members of the community was very positive and I had no trouble getting willing participants at first request. To raise awareness of the Shine a Light theme, motorists around the state are encouraged to switch on their headlights, making themselves more visible to other road users, even in daylight. Last year, 85 lives were lost on regional roads in WA. See more

06.01.2022 Friendships are so important!

02.01.2022 BEING PRESENT This is one of the single most important things you can do for your child Being present does not mean being in the same room as them it on your... phone, tablet, watching tv, talking to someone else. Being present is about actively listening and engaging with your child. Being there for events that are important to them, taking time out for them to be your sole focus. This does not mean all the time, but some time every day and it’s not about being perfect, but being present and good enough Thank you for sharing ‘Sometimes I feel emotional developmental resources’
