06.01.2022 Happy Independence South Sudan (9th July 2017). As we celebrate the independence, let us too remember the many heroes, heroines and brethren who have fallen during the war years and the more recent conflicts. May this day forever be a reminder enshrined in our hearts.

01.01.2022 (Amenesty International Press Release July 2014) highlighted these four facts bellow:- 1) Both sides to the conflict committing war crimes and crimes against humanity 2) More than 1 million internally displaced and 400,000 forced to flee the country 3) 3.9 million people face an alarming risk of food insecurity as fears of famine loom 4) Arms flow into South Sudan as conflict continues... However, the bitter fact that remains with us is "Why can't we separate country from conflict?" 9th July is our country's day... and all we do is reject it! Not the way to build a nation.
