16.01.2022 Really pissed off this time!!! Yesterday, someone decided to help themselves to a piece of our Trichocereus. It makes me doubt my faith in opening the nursery ...to the public. Having the hardest month of my life with my fathers passing this just tops things off. I hope you are proud of yourselves whoever you are.

13.01.2022 Hello All! Quick reminder that the June show still remains CANCELLED. As sad as this is, it’s for the safety of all. ... Please keep an eye out for any updates in the future. Stay safe and happy growing! CSSQ management committee.

08.01.2022 Good Morning All! For those who are looking to grow from seed and importing from an overseas supplier, make sure you are aware of any import requirements and the permitted seed list. It is vitally important that we protect our environment and do the right thing. The link to the current list is:... https://www.agriculture.gov.au//legislation/permitted-seeds Happy Growing!!

06.01.2022 **recent theft of plants** One of our members has a large collection of mature cereus cactus in their yard, and recently had a major robbery where thieves cut large branches off the plants, including 4 arms from a Pachycereus orcuttii. More than 40 branches were taken in all. These plants are not easily visible from the street so the perpetrator (s) knew what they were after and how to do it. The theft has been reported to the police. if anyone has any information or has se...en them advertised on any of the sale sites would you please let us know. I have attached some photos so you can see which plants and the damage. This sort of behaviour has to be reported and where possible, stopped.

06.01.2022 ***update on society meetings*** Hello As a consequence of the current COVID19 regulations and restrictions and the renewed outbreaks, the committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the general meetings and collection visits until further notice. We will be reviewing the situation constantly and If the requirements for cleaning, sanitising and social distancing become easier the situation will be reassessed and you will be advised accordingly.... "Dinteranthus" will continue to be published each quarter and the next issue will be mailed to you at the end of August if you are a current financial member. Remember that our sellers as advertised on the website are available for either mail orders or visits and should be contacted directly. Please bear in mind that current state and border restriction are in effect if you are not a Qld resident. All collection visits must be organised well in advance. Stay safe and well. Regards, CSSQ management committee
