23.01.2022 FINALS FOOTY Mungals: Following a few weeks off of footy, the Mungals went down to a well-drilled Cargo team 32-14.... Always knowing it would be a tough game, missed tags and lack of ball possession was the biggest problem for the girls. Domino's Pizza Bathurst player of the week: Lily Walsh The girls now play Orange Barbarians in Oberon in order to make it through to the Grand Final. Mungoes: The mungoes men’s side travelled to sunny Oberon to take on the undefeated minor premiers in a bid to host the wallerawang landscaping mid west cup grand final. Going down 10 nil in the first quarter after some classy football from the tigers men, the boys rallied through front row partnership of Nik the cantaloupe booth and Phil beak thurgood as well as using the experience of Jacob Parslow, the mungoe men got the Oberon side moving around the paddock and began to wrestle back control, when a blindside raid lead to Adam booth picking up a double before the half to be 8-10 down. The second half started as the first finished in a right back and forth contest until just before the fourth quarter when fullback braydon wicks put a deft kick through into the in goal for joe Coady to pounce on under the posts and put the boys up 14-10 which would ultimately be the final score for the game. Pat Halsey, Finlay Grabham and Jacob Parslow were standouts for the mungoes along with the forward pack who didn’t take a backwards step and challenged the big and experienced Oberon pack on more than one occasion throughout the game. Dominos Pizza Bathurst player of the week: Pat Halsey Csu will now host the big dance on Saturday September 26.

22.01.2022 Round 8 - Match Recap The CSU Mungoes side travelled to Cargo last weekend for their highly anticipated rematch after the Blue Heelers piped them by 2 points in the regular season game. Braydon Wicks moved into the fullback role and after forcing a drop out off the first set of the game, Lachie Wilson put one on a platter for Lachie Bolton who back from injury jagged 2 meat pies. Cargo hit back almost immediately scoring 2 tries in rapid succession to have the CSU boys on t...he back foot going into the second quarter. Coming out after quarter-time, CSU looked a new side, with vice-captain Joe "Darth" Coady leading the boys around well, setting up a second-quarter comeback to go into the half with a narrow lead. A half time spray from the coach kicked the boys into second gear and they came out after the half firing. A sin-binning to the dominant back rower Lawrence Fogg from Cargo allowed the students to build pressure before Blake Schaefer latched onto a long ball and raced 70m to score under the sticks and put the game to bed. 22-12 Domino's Pizza Bathurst Player of the week: Lachie Wilson

The Mungoes will be looking to go one further after their Grand Final loss last year, and the Mungals looking for their 7th league tag trophy for the club, in a row. This success on and off the field wouldn’t be possible without our young committee. Like all uni-based teams, we’re grateful for every member that has put their hand up to help guide the club while juggling study, work and other commitments.... Below is the amazing Mungoes committee for the 2021 season, welcome to the team guys. Pre-season training will be announced very shortly on this page. If you’re wanting to work off the christmas diet, come on down. These members have dedicated their time at uni and beyond to help this club to where it's at today. We're very happy to announce the CSU Mungoes Life Membership Class of 2020. 06.01.2022 CSU MUNGALS REACH THEIR 6th GRAND FINAL The CSU Mungals returned to winning ways and in turn reached their 6th consecutive wallerawang landscaping cup. Following a tough loss the week before, the girls focus for the game was on tagging and attacking structure. The girls were able to complete their sets and keep the barbs within their 50 for the majority of the game.... Despite the score, the Barb's 1 on 1 tagging was a highlight in the middle, forcing the Mungals to spread the ball to get around the defence. Bronte Emanuel and Emily Rhynehart both played pivotal roles spreading the ball around, while Lily Phillips returned back to form with strong runs and support play which helped create overlaps for the backs. Following a strong team performance the girls will take some confidence into the grand final, however they'll have to step it up another gear when they face Cargo at Carrington Park next weekend. Tries: Miranda Rodgers, Jenn Kimbel, Kate Rooney, Bronte Emanuel, Meredith Jones, Claudia McLaren. Goals: Issy Hunt 2 Domino's Pizza Bathurst player of the week: Lily Phillips
