07.01.2022 Warrant Officer Class 2 John William Jack Kirby, has been remembered as a courageous soldier and a true Australian hero, through the naming of a new 134m long... bridge. The new bridge was constructed at Combat Training Centre - Live - Australian Army after the destruction of the bridge by Cyclone Larry and Cyclone Yasi. The bridge will provide access to an inaccessible part of the Jungle Training Area, with further construction to occur and new enemy camps to be built. The bridge gives #OurPeople greater capacity to deliver training opportunities for larger units, increasing the knowledge and expertise in close combat operations. #GoodSoldiering
