25.01.2022 Year 2 are having a great time learning about persuasive texts. They have been trying to convince someone that dogs are the best pet. They needed to use strong, high modality language when trying to persuade someone of their point of view. Have a listen to some of their great work!

25.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all our CTK Dads, Grandads and Father figures. We hope you all have a fantastic day today. We wish we could have celebrated as a school community, but instead, our wonderful Year 6 Leaders and their teachers have put together this video to share.... We hope you enjoy the messages from our students and the many family photos we received.

24.01.2022 Wow! Year one would like to say a huge thank you to the Christ The King community for all of their generous donations. The year one classroom is almost full! It has been amazing to see the amount of bundles sent in to support those affected by the explosion in Beirut. Year one has really embraced the opportunity to show how they can be peacemakers in our world and help others. It has been lovely to see CTK students wearing the colours of the Lebanese flag today to show their support and come together as a loving community. Check out the photos that show the amount of bundles and some of our students in their red, green and white clothes today.

21.01.2022 Thank you to the generous families who have brought in bundles for Beirut. These items will be shipped to Lebanon on Friday, therefore, Friday will be the last day to bring in items. A friendly reminder, students will be able to wear red, white and green mufti on Friday the 11th of September.

20.01.2022 In Year 4, the students have worked very hard over the year to earn their official Pen Licenses. A Pen License officially allows a person to start writing in pen, rather than pencil! They are given out to students who have shown that their handwriting is neat, tidy and easy to read. Congratulations to these students who received their licenses last week after trying very hard to improve their writing!

20.01.2022 Year 3 have been getting to know Jesus in preparation for a very important time in our liturgical calendar - Advent. We have been getting to know Jesus and His family as well as learning about His birth as the start of it salvation. Year 3 participated in a guided meditation where we got to walk, talk and sit next to Jesus. We talked about how Jesus is always present in our lives because He is always in our hearts. ... We are loving getting to know how important His family is to Him just like our family is to us and about the meaning of all the symbols we know very well.

20.01.2022 Year One has been learning about how to be a peacemaker and follow the way of Jesus. They have been wanting to find a useful way to support those people who have been affected by the explosion in Lebanon. As seen in the poster, CTK are going to try and bundle up some items as a school to send over to Lebanon. The last day to bring in items will be the 11th of September. As a way to thank everyone for their contributions, on Friday the 11th of September, students will be able to wear red, green or white to represent the colours of the Lebanese flag.

17.01.2022 Isabelle's Voice of Youth speech was all about peer pressure. It was the winner of the 2020 Social Justice Award for CTK. Voice of Youth is the annual public speaking competition which all Year 6 students in the diocese compete in. Students can choose a topic of their choice and the speeches range from being very funny to very serious and thought provoking. Normally, it is a competition where students move through the levels and compete with other schools but for this year... it had to just be at school. Well Done Isabelle and all of Year 6 for delivering some great speeches.

17.01.2022 Yesterday the whole school participated in the 2020 Fun Day to make up for many cancelled events we have not been able to celebrate this year. The students had a fantastic day and loved being able to try new activities, work in teams with their classmates and spend the whole da...y outside. More photos to come next week.

15.01.2022 Year 4 have been practising writing strong, persuasive texts which have high modality language and convincing examples and arguments. In Religion, they have also been learning about the qualities of the Saints and how we can be like them. To put these ideas together, our clever students have written persuasive texts to answer the following questions: - What is a bystander and why shouldn't we be one?... - What is an everyday hero and why should we be one? We hope you enjoy hearing some of their convincing arguments! Music: www.bensound.com

We are very proud of Abigail for making such a generous decision and always thinking about how she can help others. Abigail is also trying to raise money for the cause. If you would like to support her and donate to the cause, please click on the link below. https://hairwithheart.variety.org.au/s/1662/1662/e Donating will close this Sunday, 27th of September.

A reminder for ...teachers, parents and carers ahead of R U OK? Day this Thursday: While children can't be expected to fix someone’s problems, they can be encouraged to listen to what their friend is saying, show they care and tell a teacher, school counsellor or trusted adult if they are worried about their friend. This video shows them how to do that. See more
