20.01.2022 Microsoft Support Pop-up Scam - this latest malware looks to be using Google Chrome & Edge search browsers to enable a fake Microsoft Support Pop-Up on your scr...een it advises " Your Computer has been Blocked" & to the Call for Support on 1800 152 454 - this connects you to a fake help centre who then do their best to convince you to install ransomware on your computer remotely. Of course hangup and call us to remove the pop-up software See more

13.01.2022 WARNING! Don't click on emails claiming to contain a Google Chrome update link.

13.01.2022 DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS IN EMAILS supposedly from reputable Australian companies (Australia Post, Telstra, etc.) unless you are expecting such an email and are 100% sure it is legit! The consequences could be very costly, either for ransom payment or other recovery, if at all possible. Also take precautions by backing up important files/data regularly to removable media, eg. external hard drive. http://www.theage.com.au//hackers-lock-up-thousands-of-aus

09.01.2022 JB HI-FI - Samsung Email Scam - Beware an email titled - "YOUR NAME", your Samsung TV will be delivered at noon tomorrow." It suggests you have won a Samsung T...V and that by clicking on the confirm now you can claim delivery of your new TV. Sound too good to be True - well we think it is and it is just another Crytolocker scam email previously scamming as AGL. Don't click! Please warn your family & staff. See more

01.01.2022 Please be aware that there are malicious spam emails spreading throughout Australia, these emails have been impersonating large well known corporations like Aus...tralia Post stating that there is a parcel pending for delivery. Although this may seem legitimate, this link requests you to download an .exe file from a zip file. This link is a form of malware is known as CryptoLocker and is designed to encrypt your data including documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, zip files on Network Drives, removable drives and your local machine. Once infected the malware demands payments from $300 upwards to decrypt your data. We advise users: Not to enter Captcha codes to any postal tracking site Not to open invoice / refund attachments from email (Cryptowall) We urge all users to be vigilant when opening emails, always keep an eye on suspicious links.
