18.01.2022 Phew. What a day! Thank you to everyone who bought donuts & cakes and donated money. Massive thanks to Mummas Kiwi Donuts, Cakebiz Narellan, Bar Centrale and Sinis Cakery for the amazing donations and to Custom Cakes by Chantelle for the gorgeous biscuits. Thanks also to the Allied Health staff who baked yummy treats and to Angela & her grandkids for the beautiful succulents. We were sold out by 11am, and we raised a little over $600! #mummaskiwidonuts, #cakebiznarellan, #barcentrale #siniscakery

18.01.2022 Parents are being warned of the dangers of whooping cough, as the potentially deadly illness continues to hit Adelaide schools. The Health Department wants to see a surge in immunisation to match an expected surge in cases. Kate Somers reports.

15.01.2022 Hi, its Dr Margie! I know as a parent, rashes can be one of the scariest things you face. So I thought it would be beneficial to talk about when you should worry about your childs rash. I hope you find this video helpful!

14.01.2022 SCN is turning purple for Prem Awareness this November. On 13th November we are holding a Cake Stall to raise money for SCN. On 17th November we celebrate World Prematurity Day and this year, our ThankU NICU Day will be held on 29th November. #WPD2019 #SCN #Purple4Prems

13.01.2022 A short time ago Special Care Nursery completely ran out of muslin wraps, so a few of our staff put out a request to the Macarthur community for donations. We thought we would be blessed with a few bags of wraps. What weve received instead, is an amazing outpour of generosity. From community groups to childcare centres, to fabulous parents that have taken it upon themselves to arrange collections in their own social groups. The response from the Macarthur Community has been astounding and far greater than we expected. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed. We are now restocked for summer as you can see from the few pictures below. Our gratitude is enormous.

08.01.2022 For those who are not sure when is best to be vaccinated against whooping cough. Thank you for vaccinating not just to protect yourself but to protect vulnerable babies who are at risk of dying from this disease - Rileys Mum X

08.01.2022 Check this one out. http://m.motherandbaby.com.au//the-importance-of-whooping/

07.01.2022 Good news! "There have been no infant deaths reported since the free pregnancy booster programs introduction on April 1 last year, despite a new epidemic of ...the disease." Although whooping cough is such a big problem in Australia - largely due to the vaccine wearing off in adulthood and people not knowing/remembering that boosters are needed - its so great to know that no more babies have died from this since Riley in Australia. Thats all weve ever wanted since Riley died... to know that other precious babies wouldnt have to experience what he did. His last memories before he was intubated would have been very painful and scary. No baby deserves that. So glad to hear of so many Mums protecting their babies with pregnancy vaccination x Rileys Mum

07.01.2022 How lovely to see this little one walking, she must be so excited!

06.01.2022 Forgot something? Youll always remember to vaccinate your kids with our app www.immunisation.health.nsw.gov.au

04.01.2022 Despite the whooping cough pregnancy vaccination programs being introduced around Australia last year, tens of thousands of babies are still being born without ...any protection against the potentially fatal disease. Often this is simply because parents are either unaware or uninformed about the importance of the third trimester boosters. Please help share our message - that vaccination begins in pregnancy! x Rileys Mum

02.01.2022 There have been over 7500 cases of whooping cough diagnosed in Australia this year so far. These are the symptoms to look out for, and if you have any concerns, please see your GP. Lets spread the awareness, not the disease. -Rileys Mum x
