21.01.2022 What a transformation this was! This room was taken out by an accidental fire. A few of our clients family members tried to fix it by having a good go at gyprocking and plastering.... However, we ended reflushing the ceiling and chipping some of the burnt plaster off the walls. We had to trowel everything from top to bottom 3 times to get the walls smooth enough for the Dulux Metal Shimmer effect top coat that had to be applied by spray. This meant taping up the entire ceiling and the rest of the room. 19.01.2022 Danis 2 storey townhouse in Shenton park was given a major overhaul. The original 1980s vermiculite ceilings, yellow walls and Jarrah wood floor and varnished cappings set a moody, dark tone when you walked in the front door. Being a terrace town house the only windows and sources of natural light were at the front and rear of the property. This had caused the original white enamel paint on the doors and frames to severely yellow. Dani had replaced her kitchen and laundry ...with some beautiful white cabinets and stone benchtops, she had the vermiculite ceilings boarded up with gyprock and added a cornice to modernize the downstairs. To finish the modern touches some LED down lights were installed and all new stainless steel appliances brighten the place up. We brought a breath of life back into the house by sealing the cielings and applying 2 coats of Hadrian 680 cieling flat in WA White. We oil undercoated the yellow doors & frames and all the varnished Jarrah wood sills and cappings so the new water based enamel would stick properly. We opted for a water based enamel top coat because of its non-yellowing properties. We put the final coat on the doors & frames, sills and cappings in WA White with a satin finish to match the kitchen and laundry cabinets. The satin finish also hides a few of the defects under the ultra bright LED lights. Dani asked us if we could put some skirting boards on her staircase to match with the upstairs bedrooms and landing. We gave our friend Eugine @customcarpentry a call and he came out the next day to finish the job. We painted them to match the doors & frames. Finally we gave the walls a good going over with plenty of filler and a really good sand down. Once we had sealed everything up we gave them 2 good coats of Dulux Wash & Wear interior Matt in Lexicon 1/4. The overall look of this interior is so much brighter and cheery. In a much larger space this colour scheme may have looked a bit too sanitary but it doesnt here. It really works and keeping the original Jarrah wood floor in the lounge area downstairs breaks it up and adds a touch of class. This was a small but really fun project to work on and we are over the moon with the finish. Thank you for the opportunity to supply or services Danni. 14.01.2022 A garage floor repaint. Concrete is a sensitive substrate when it comes to painting. Preparation is extremely important. Firstly, we need to acid etch the concrete to pit the surface of the concrete and give the paint something to grab on to. ... Neutralizing the surface with water afterwards ensures there are no issues with the chemistry when the paint goes down. Allowing enough time for the concrete to dry out before applying the first coat will ensure the paint penetrates the concrete for a proper seal. 11.01.2022 This week we did a kitchen, lounge and dinning renovation in Kinross. We started by freshening up the ceiling with 2 coats of WA White. We landed a bit of trouble with the walls once we started taking down old picture hooks it was apparent the original painter had not sealed the plaster. The paint started peeling off in sheets. ... We ended up completely stripping 4 walls back to the white set and starting again with oil-based sealer. James had a new kitchen put in and some fitted cabinets in the lounge area. The hog bristle colour on the walls was looking dated with all the new renovations. James was a little unsure on the picking a new colour and left it to us. He was so happy with the colour he asked us to also paint 2 hallways and his master bedroom which he had only painted last year. We hope to see James again soon to finish the rest of the house.

10.01.2022 Shannon & Jarrads unit in Butler. We completed a full inside and out repaint on this little rental unit. This house has just gone up for sale so we did our best to bring it back to its former glory. Check out the listing https://reiwa.com.au/9b-frangista-road-butler-4105001/ Repairing all the cornice cracks, painting the ceiling and getting rid of the feature walls has cleaned this house up beautifully.... All the carpets were replaced and some new blinds installed, then our Chris Tinker Contract Cleaners came into give it an overhaul ready for home opens. The outside was a bit shabby, some sap from the timber had to be removed and a fair bit of sanding was in order to smooth things over. We removed all the dirt and salt by wiping everything down with turps to give the Dulux Weathershield a nice clean surface to hang on to. Sticking with the original colour scheme of Colourbond Iron Stone on the gutter and facia and Solver Vitesse on the timber and brick work, it now has that lovely cosy cottage feel like it did when it was built. 02.01.2022 This job was the works. A full internal and external clean up. Pete & Erin built the house 10 years ago so it was starting to show some wear and tear. Corrosion and cracking were the main issues here. We did a lot of rust and stain removal as well as rectifying cheap construction mistakes the builders trades left behind. ... We stripped and galvanized the steal work and lintels, scraped and re-flushed the ceiling at the back as well as an extensive re-work on the timbers at the front. Inside there was some heavy staining throughout the main areas on the ceilings. There was also a lot of movement causing some major cracking under the cornice. We actually had to remove a length of cornice, fix up the wall and put in a new piece. Pete had installed some brand new six panel doors as well as having brand new carpets fitted and his timber floors striped, sanded and re-polished. To undercoat and satin enamel 5 panel doors on timber floors, plush pile carpet in 35-degree heat is a challenge for any painter. The finish and the look of the inside with all the new furniture is fantastic. Pete & Erin were very particular and knew exactly what they wanted. It was a messy and time-consuming job but we enjoyed the challenges. Thanks for having us guys.

02.01.2022 Another marvelous creation. We completed a full exterior renovation on this little cottage. We doug out the planter box and chipped off the damaged render down to the brick and re rendered it. We waterproofed the inside and filled it back up.... Our peely door problem was rectified and the gutter, facia and timber work all recieved two good coats of Weathershield Lo Sheen. The eaves were stained up from a few prior leaks. With a good sand back and a bit of prep and 2 good coats of flat, they are now gleaming white. We Finished the render with Weather Shield Matt.
