10.01.2022 And that's a wrap! Our New Umpire Law School concluded last night after our final practical session in the Blundstone Arena Indoor Nets. Participants worked on... their 'Bowlers End' and 'Square Leg' routines, ball counting, signaling and decision making learnt in previous weeks. We have seen great commitment and enthusiasm from participants over the past 7 weeks and look forward to them stepping out in the middle in some practice matches over the coming weeks, in preparation for the season ahead. 05.01.2022 It is with great sadness to advise that Cricket Tasmania Premier League Hall of Fame member Lyndon ‘Jim’ Stevens has recently passed away. Jim Stevens was an um...pire in the then TCA Grade competition from 1965 until his retirement in 1981. Over that period, Jim umpired in excess of 150 1st Grade matches, including a remarkable twelve CTPL Men's First Grade Grand Finals.
