24.01.2022 I had the whole range to myself this morning so took the time to calibrate my 300WM at 1.2km. Used my Silver Mountain SOLO electronic target to record everything. Results: Kestrel - 11mils Actual - 11 mils. Wind was 25km from 4.30. SOLO worked brilliantly. Rifle was flawless. Great day.
24.01.2022 Training Program for tomorrow Saturday (30 Nov 2019) Training for tomorrow (30 Nov 2019) will focus on Extended Long Range (ELR) shooting out to 1500 yards. Well also do some unknown distance stuff and a 1200yd MJ Challenge. So bring your long game.....and your biggest gun!... Weather: Weathers looking pretty good (by Campbell Towns standards) with hardly any wind and showers forecast for the late afternoon. Well be done by then. Timings: 0800: Target / range setup 0830: Registration / sign-in (club house) 0900 - 1000: Zero / Ballistic truing (if necessary). If not well go straight to 1500yd. 1000 - 1300: -1500yd -Unknown distance practice (1200 - 1400) 1300 - 1400: 1200yd Milk Jug Challenge (entry fee $10 each - prize money is up for grabs. 1/2 the collected entry fee goes to the Club) 1400-1430: Range Cleanup / Shut Down Round Count: 50 rounds Range Fees: As per usual $25 for non-TRA members and $10 for TRA members (Please note: The range fee goes to TRA not the Club). Administration: If you need to zero or true your ballistic solver please let me know today....so I can have targets ready. Im not your mother......so bring something to eat and drink. It can get pretty hectic. Visitors / potential new member are welcome to come along and check things out. A couple of volunteers to help out with range / target setup would be great. If the weather turns bad Ill put out a cancellation text message / email early Saturday morning. If you dont hear anything from me.assume practice is on. Please email or text me if you intend being there on Saturday as I wont be taking a 2nd electronic target if the numbers dont warrant it.
