18.01.2022 One thing we LOVE and will always bang on about is the importance of EARLY DEVELOPMENT opportunities. Since having our own kids we are constantly thinking of ways to bring our OT skills home to give our little ones different ways to learn that work for them! This is why Tara started up her @lets_play_charlie page to share her sensory and play activities and Amy’s living room has turned into a mini ninja warrior course with a jumping castle and the lounge cushions constantly ...on the floor to be crashed on by her three kiddies who crave movement! Whilst this means our houses almost always look like chaos (but the best type of chaos) we know how important this heavy work is for our littles in providing calming input and improving overall development. We have been working hard to bring something FUN, simple and purposeful to all Aussie families for almost 2 years now and together we think we have created something special by combining mum life with our OT brains. We are just two very ordinary everyday mums embarking on a wild ride and hope that we can build your knowledge as parents/carers whilst upping the FUN factor in your homes along the way! CB x

17.01.2022 SNEAK PEEKS We have heard you - you all want a sneak peek into what the Cubbi Buddi will look like - and we don’t blame you! So here are our initial 3D rendered computer images to tease you all. ... Whilst these images don’t show our beautiful soft material, colour options (but a pretty good hint of some) or alllll the mega cool features and adds on we have planned - you can see that it is made up of just FOUR pieces.....us parents/carers have enough things to pick up 2 cushions and 2 base pieces joined together to ensure the most awesome creations are made to withstand those energizer bunnies but also soft enough to enjoy family movie time ! Thanks so much for following us on this journey already and please know we are working SO SO hard to get more info out ASAP. CB x

I am a Paediatric Occupational Therapist who has been working with children and their families for over 12 years now. Tara and I feel so grateful that we get to empower parents and use play to help children learn any skills they are finding tricky! ... We have worked within childcare’s, schools, high schools and family homes supporting children’s development and we LOVE it! We have combined our serious passion for play and development with our mum brain to bring you the amazing Cubbi Buddi. Sanity saver for us parents yet perfect to work on so many areas of development ! We cannot wait to to take you on this journey and share what we learn as we juggle the mum and work life hustle! 06.01.2022 When we tell people what we do for a living their response is often so basically you just play all day?!" Well...YES WE DO! But.... there is a reason we use play in therapy! 1) because they love it and it’s great for building relationships... AND 2) because play is the natural way children develop ideas and learn lifelong skills! ... Research shows that 75% of brain development occurs after birth so providing your little ones with opportunities for alllll types of play experiences is essential but doesn’t need to be fancy! Play that links sensorimotor, cognitive and social-emotional experiences provides an ideal setting from brain development eg. SENSORY INPUT + MOTOR INPUT + THINKING + SHARED PLAY = a juicy = The Cubbi Buddi! What types of play do you see your child enjoying and learning the most from? (Info taken from Maria Montessori)
