24.01.2022 The older children enjoyed walking along the bush trail which runs along the lake . They had a ball running up the hill at the back of the museum and rolling down it . It made us laugh so much watching them roll and tumble down the hill :)

20.01.2022 The preschoolers have finished off their week with the letter J with jelly that they made for afternoon tea.
19.01.2022 Last week we spent alot of time outside . The children played soccer , catch and poison ball :) they began to learn about spring and looked for various flowers in the area , we went to the museum and the children played on the digger downstairs . We celebrated one of the childrens bdays and ate gelato cake whilst wearing brightly coloured party hats . We welcomed spring with open arms . Over the last 2 weeks we welcomed our new educator to cubby and we began to plan our excursions and events for the next few months . Please see the whiteboard at the sign in desk . Happy September :)

17.01.2022 Naidoc week 2017 We have been very busy this week celebrating Naidoc week . The children have painted their own interpretation of the aboriginal dreamtimes stories we have read and the various art we have looked at . We have created a display wall to dispay all of their hard work . Today we went to the museum . We walked through the various parts of the first australians and torres strait islander sections . We sat in the yarning circle and told eachother stories . ... Did you know that the amazing structure at the outdoor entry of the museum was actually inspired by the dream time story of the rainbow serpent ? This is something we learnt today

14.01.2022 Peter and his reptile friends came in and gave us a show today . The children loved looking at the various reptiles and being able to touch them . We will upload pics tomorrow :) the cutest moments were watching the children touch the animals and interact with them and Watching the children who were afraid watch from afar with curiosity .

13.01.2022 Over the last couple of weeks the children having been working very hard helping Gramps to build a shelter around our gardens. They have loved helping him move dirt, dig holes, take trips to Bunnings for supplies, hold poles, helping to measure and passing him the tools that he needed. The shelter is now complete and we can now decide what we want to plant and grow. We would like to thank Gramps for all his hard work and giving up his free time and we cant wait to think of our next project for him to do

11.01.2022 This week the children made bags for the easter hunt . Yesterday they had loads of fun , they worked together to find all of the easter eggs :) it was lovely to see their excitement and their beautiful smiles :) Have a safe and happy long weekend

07.01.2022 The toddlers and pre-schoolers had a fantastic time at the Botanic Gardens today, walking through the rain forest, running around looking for Dinosaurs.
06.01.2022 The children had a ball on the bus wash tour . Our driver Craig was fantastic . As the children boarded the bus they were each handed a bus ticket , which was later checked by the inspector and Scooby Doo . We played a special game of spotto and visted the sick buses and their special doctors . We tried very hard to feel the hot water from the bus wash through the windows and all agreed that it felt cold . We shouted wake up to the sleepy buses and some of the children had the pleasure of sitting in the bus drivers seat . What a wonderful experience .
05.01.2022 Today the children at Cubby enjoyed celebrating Diwali. They all helped to create a Rangoli, enjoyed some coconut toffees and having a Mehendi (Henna tattoo).

02.01.2022 Some of the children went on a long walk around the lake today . They collected pinecones :) Some of the children did a spaghetti sensory experience , they had so much fun !!!
01.01.2022 The children had a lovely time at the zoo yesterday and after 6 and a bit hours we made our way around it :) Thanks to a very special mum who vounteered her time to help us and thanks to all of our wonderful staff :)
