22.01.2022 At Sheltering Hands we pride ourselves on providing you with a clean environment, as nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our community. With the recent outbreak of Coronavirus we would like to assure you that we are monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and following the government recommendations provided at: https://www.health.gov.au/healt/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov. This advice is being diligently checked and should there be a change we will take a...ppropriate action. While we always endeavor to keep facilities impeccably clean, we will provide additional attention to the hygiene of our whole centre during this period. Our staff have been briefed on best practices in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We seek your support by adhering to the following advice while you are in the centre: * Utilise the hand sanitiser provided in the centre * Ensure you bring your own towel if needed, we provide paper towels * Wash your hands often with soap and water * Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth * Avoid close contact with others in the centre (handshakes, hugging, kissing etc.) * Do not share water bottles or any other consumables. * Keep all sections of the centre clean after use (eg. toilets and basins). * Dispose of all rubbish in the designated bins available around the centre. If you are feeling unwell please stay home and rest. Please note: We will only stop practical that requires close distance and will keep our theories running. 03.01.2022 We are conducting First Aid courses at Dawn 2 Dusk venue. Please read below our procedures. We comply with and take into account the following: - State, Territory and Federal Health Authorities advice (www.health.gov.au)... - The Australian Resuscitation Council's recommendations and guidelines (www.resus.org.au) - SafeWork Australia's advice (www.safeworkaustralia.gov.au) - ASQA's advice (www.asqa.gov.au). Please note that we take full measures with preventing any transmitted diseases. Please see below in point form our current procedures : - Venue is disinfected prior to the commencement of all classes (tables, chairs, mats, manikins, pens etc.) - Hand sanitise as soon as the client walks in. - PPE is observed, administered and supplied - Client is provided with a face mask which they must wear. - Client is provided with disposable gloves which they must wear. - Client is shown what to do when in need to cough or sneeze. - Social distancing is observed with a 1.5 meter distance between each client. - A maximum of 6 clients at a time. - We do NOT accept any client with any flu like symptoms or any other symptoms. - Client must fill out a checklist which observes any symptoms prior to admittance. - Trainers and all other staff members also observe and administer all the above. Our trainer has completed the Infection Controlled Training COVID 19 with The Australian Government Department of Health. We strive in providing the utmost safest facility and training service possible. As the health and wellbeing of the clients and our staff is essential and a priority.
