23.01.2022 Important news for those involved in health advertising to consumers. (Make sure you’re not vulnerable to fines up to $10 million and criminal prosecution) Today we say goodbye to the mandatory pre-approvals of Therapeutic Goods advertising. For 25+ years, these independent reviews helped ensure compliance for advertising to consumers. So if your business is involved with the advertising of therapeutic goods to consumers - are you equipped to confidently manage your complia...nce obligations without this safety net? Non-compliance risks not only heavy fines, but also brand and reputational damage. To help advertisers navigate this change, Cube supported Consumer Health Products Australia to compile this overview of the compliance environment, some of its many complexities and how to minimise your risk of noncompliance. 15.01.2022 It's important to spark conversations about illness and disease, especially in areas that are perhaps more rare and scarcely discussed - the benefits of doing so can support with disease prevention, health promotion and improving quality of life. Therefore, in the hope of raising awareness and decreasing stigma, Cube is introducing our #SpotlightSeries - where we'll shine a light on different diseases. This week we’re taking a look at anorexia nervosa - which is the 10th lead...ing burden of disease and injury in Australian females aged 15-24. Anorexia nervosa is a psychological illness defined by persistent restriction of energy intake, intense fear of gaining weight and disturbances in self-perceived weight. Unattainable body ideals seen on social media and celebrity culture are continuing to perpetuate dispositions of negative self-esteem, perfectionism and rigidity. We want to recognise the complicated and often misunderstood disease which has the highest mortality of any psychiatric illness. The Butterfly Foundation provide fantastic support services for those affected by eating disorders and body image issues whilst advocating for the needs of their community. To learn more about anorexia nervosa and ways you can get involved to bring around positive change, visit https://butterfly.org.au/

It’s hoped the guide will give people living with MS an understanding of the areas in their daily lives they can actively manage, and provide a sense of control, independence, empowerment, and peace of mind during these challenging times. 12.01.2022 Our team have thoroughly enjoyed getting involved in the Public Relations Institute of Australia's Conference 2020! #PRIACON2020 One of our favourite sessions by Charlene White focused on Next Gen Digital PR. #PR practitioners are being called to prove their worth in the digital age more than ever before. The industry needs to move beyond traditional tactics such as news and social media. Rather, brands need to prove their authority and authenticity online. Though the digital... age allows us to reach more people than ever, it is also the hardest it has ever been to engage with users! Building omnipresence online will grow a brand's reputation, visibility and trust, and ultimately its digital authority. Cubans are feeling very inspired following the two day conference and are excited to put what we've learnt into practice!
08.01.2022 Tomorrow is #WorldDiabetesDay - a timely opportunity to help those who are not familiar with diabetes better understand what it is and the impact of living with the disease. #Diabetes is one of the biggest challenges facing our health system today, with 280 Australians being diagnosed with the disease every day - that's one person every five minutes! To learn more about the disease and help fund vital research visit: https://www.jdrf.org/
07.01.2022 Every 4 minutes another Australian is diagnosed with cancer. Though this year feels a little bit different, the sentiment behind #DaffodilDay remains the same. There are so many ways you can get involved to help raise crucial funds for cancer research - whether it's a walk, run, afternoon tea, raffle or dressing up in yellow - together we need to spread the word about fundraising - together we can stop this. Head to www.daffodilday.com.au for more information.

Some of these includePost Natal Depression, which affects 1 in 6 women today,as well asPelvic Floor Dysfunction, which has serious health ramifications for 1 in 3 women. To help show your support or for more information on women's health issues, please visithttps://www.womenshealthweek.com.au/

06.01.2022 Although the way we practice healthy behaviours may be different this year, its importance remains the same. National Health and Physical Education (HPE) Day aims to raise awareness and advocate for a greater focus on health and exercise in Australian schools. Australian school physical activity levels are currently ranked amongst the worst in the world. This has ramifications later in life as only 41% of Australians have a level of health literacy that allows them to meet th...e complex demands of daily life - placing a large strain on the healthcare system at large. This year’s theme, Good for Children, Good for Schools and Good for Communities, focusses on the unique ways we can remain healthy within our current climate. Cube has a passion for improving health literacy, evident in our involvement with @ConsumerHealthProductsAustralia developing a diverse range of digital educational resources to promote #selfcare for Australian students, teachers and parents. Everyone has a role in helping young people live healthier lifestyles and it is far easier than you think! Whether you are a parent, carer or teacher, help celebrate our future generation by visiting https://hpeday.com.au/resources/ for more information on supporting young people increase healthy practices today.

02.01.2022 In times of hardship it is so heartwarming to see the incredible work of organisations like National Seniors Australia who are pulling together COVID-19 care packages to support those most vulnerable in Victorian hotspot areas, including the elderly and Victoria’s culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) community. 200 packages are already due to go out and with the help of generous donations they plan to send 800 more. At Cube, we are happy to be able to donate to a pro...ject that is delivering practical help to those who need it most. Should you wish to donate a care pack for $20, please visit - https://bit.ly/2E65FCD It is a very unsteady time for Australians. Please take care of yourself! #wecaremelbourne #nationalseniorsaustralia

02.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday to our amazing training day last week! 02.01.2022 Cardiovascular disease is the world’s number one killer. This #WorldHeartDay the World Heart Federation are reminding us to #UseHeart to make positive lifestyle and behavioural changes to improve our heart health. By following a well-balanced diet, saying no to tobacco, sticking to safe alcohol guidelines and exercising regularly, we can minimise our risk of cardiovascular disease.
01.01.2022 The Cube team wore denim today in celebration of @jeans_for_genes Day! We are very proud to support this incredibly important campaign, which helps fund pioneering research at the @Children’sMedicalResearchInsitiute to diagnose, understand, and find cures and treatments for genetic conditions affecting children. Cube is extremely passionate about supporting research into genetic diseases, and is fortunate to be able to work across a number of projects involving revolutionary ...emerging genetic therapies. However, 1 in 20 children face a birth defect or genetic disease, and 30% of children’s hospital admissions are due to genetic disorders, so we know there is much more work to be done. Be sure to donate to this amazing cause, to help support researchers from around the world to tackle complex genetic diseases and find the answers we desperately need: https://www.jeansforgenes.org.au/ #JeansForGenes #HealthcarePR #MedicalResearch #GeneticConditions
