16.01.2022 On the weekend we held a Stableford round sponsored by Getaway Outdoors Kelmscott. The conditions where tough for the second nine on Saturday with gusty winds and rain meant the going was tough. Somehow Daniel ‘DC’ Christensen managed to cobble together 44 points to absolutely obliterate the rest of the field. Well done DC, enjoy the new handicap . The next person close to that score was Captain LG with 35 points. Once again thank you to Adrian & Michelle at Getaway Outdoors Kelmscott for sponsoring this round!

15.01.2022 The final wrap-up for this year's season can be found in this month's edition of The Cuby News or on our website. https://cuballinggolfclub.wixsite.com/cubygolf/documents

11.01.2022 Nothing like a Combined Stableford to bring everyone together before being pitted against each other for Championships next week. Never the less 20 golfers took to the course with pristine conditons for golf. The day was sponsored by Bill and bens hot bread shop, a big thank you to Jenny & Wayne for their continued support of our club. Individual winner for the day was the baker himself Wayne McLeish with 37 Points.... In the blind stableford there were some interesting pairs with the Winners being Daniel Christensen & Mick Anton. Runners Up, Peter "Pistol" George & Rodeny Titko, and the hardest triers award went to Graeme Dent & Jenny McLeish. Well done to all who came along it was a great day.

08.01.2022 Some would call this weekend's Championships the serious stuff, and it is, but, this is Cuballing so as long as we have fun we'll be right! I'll take an extract from Captian Lindsay for this weekend's upcoming Championships outlining the day's proceedings and moring matchups to watch out for. -----... "This weekend is our CHAMPIONSHIP DAY SUNDAY. Please see the draw as there has been a couple of changes since Saturday night and unless there are some untimely changes this is it. It will be on for young and old with a few key matchups in the Morning A Grade Bevan George v Rob Harris The Apprentice & The Master a long hitter up against precision. Look out this one could go past the 18th. B Grade Anthony Mort v Wayne McLeish An all-round match up here. Will go blow for blow. This could go to the 18th if Morty gets his way. C Grade Anthony Howe v Graeme Dent Denty is just hitting some nice form at the moment. Howie who knows he could be hot as fire or as cold as ice. Look out if he is hot. C Grade The other side of C Grade is an interesting one. Mick big stick Anton up against the evergreen ole Mr Watson. With Mr Watson's track record this could go 20 plus holes! Ah, the mysteries of D & E Grade! D Grade Dan ‘The Man’ Hawes v David ‘Shedman’ Shanks. If Dan is on then lookout, the course is not long enough and David won't stand a chance. But if Shanksy stays on fairway most of the time it will go down to the wire. E Grade Rodney Titko v Cooper George. 2 Players that have hit some really good form of late. Look out this one could go on past the 18th hole. There you go if you want to see some pretty good matchups get out early on Sunday morning and enjoy what will be a great day around the club. NO Set golf for Saturday please play if you want but no organised golf. Good Luck to everyone on Sunday! Any issues or questions please let me know!!"

03.01.2022 The 2020 Club Championships were run and won in horrendous conditions for golf on Sunday. Never the less the brave warriors of Cuballing battled on and dished up some interesting golf for the spectators in the afternoon. In the A Grade, both George's where eliminated setting up a rematch of last year's A Grade Final Between Rob Harris & Chris Bolton. This year they took it all the way to the 18th with Rob Harris taking it out on the last hole. Well done Rob. B Grade saw a cou...ple of hard-fought matches in the morning leading to new member Breandan Gifford taking on President Mort. After 13 holes the President had it all squared away being 6 up with 5 to go. Congrats Morty. C Grade saw Anthony Howe take on Mick Anton in the afternoon with a thrilling match that went all the way to the 18th. Even with his caddy in Simon, Howie was simply outplayed by Mick Anton when it mattered most, with Mick going 1 Up on the 18th hole. Well done Mick. D Grade had a rematch of last year's E Grade final with Stuart Budd and Dan Hawes battling it out for the title. Even with some monster drives assisted by the win, Dan couldn't get the job done with Stu Budd claiming the honors 3 & 2. Congratulation Stu. E Grade saw Daniel Christensen & Cooper George battling it out for E Grade glory. It was all square after 9 holes and from the start of the back 9, DC ran away with it claiming the title 5 up with 4 to go. Congratulations DC! A great effort from all who played on the day and, and with the Peanut gallery following around in the afternoon it made for a great atmosphere and an enjoyable day. Finally a big thank you to Jenny McLiesh & Elna George for cooking Hamburgers for lunch on the day. It was lovely to come into some delicious food after the wild conditions.

01.01.2022 For anyone who is interested, we will be playing 9 Holes of Stableford on Saturday afternoon. Tee off from 2pm, no organised draw, if you're keen for a hit, just turn up find a group and go for it.
