21.01.2022 Busy Busy Busy, we are getting ready to return for our annual visit to the Black Forest to see the makers and their lovely clocks and find something special for you. Before going there many clocks still to be repaired and serviced so please do not bring me any more work at the moment. I will post on return to advise when we can come in with your clock.

The craftsmanship in the case design and preparation exemplifies the best in Black Forest cuckoo clock making. Look carefully at the hand cut and laid shingles that make up the facade of the case, the hand carved dial and hands. To finish off this wonderful presentation the pendulum and wooden,turned and carved,weight shells add dimensio...n and elegance. 20.01.2022 Recently restored a clock by Humphrey Marsh made 334 years ago !

20.01.2022 I was in Th e Black Forest in May this year to select new stock and the latest and top of the line clock at Hones of Titisee-Nuestadt was the Family of Bears. With out a doubt this is a most beautiful creation from Wolfgang Trenkle, owner,director and designer of Hones cuckoo clocks. The solid wood carved case supports a family of bears where the littlest bear runs from one parent to the other whilst the the dancers and mill wheel turn and the music plays. Such detail of not only bears but deer,squirrels and wood peckers adorn the case.

15.01.2022 Now something completely different. I was in Switzerland on route to the Black Forest and was lucky enough to visit the hidden hill top village of Gruyere, famous for cheese. Lucky too because it was a special day to celebrate and compete in the playing of the Alp Horn. So it was natural that when I arrived in the Black Forest and saw a pretty little clock with an Alp Horn player I bought it.
