23.01.2022 Things are really starting to come together at the Centre! Pictured in our update this week is the social space and the two study hubs. There will be spaces to bring your own device, as well as dual screen computers that will be perfect for getting those big assignments done. 19.01.2022 Congrats Luke! He has just been accepted to study a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)! Luke will be studying online at CSU and using the CUC Macleay Valley as his base. After completing his first degree at the University of New England (UNE), a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Luke wasn’t so sure on where he wanted his career to go. He has a huge passion for fitness, and has done some work for NRL clinics in primary school. This time in schools was one element that helped him make the decision to become a teacher. The other was having a local place to study! Luke will be one of the first students to register for the Centre. Students will have free access to high-speed Internet, modern technology, and general academic and wellbeing support all delivered locally at CUC Macleay Valley. Join a group of passionate lifelong learners and make a difference to the higher education landscape in the Macleay Valley region. ... Your role will play a significant part in bringing degrees closer to regional, rural, and remote Australians with the Country Universities Centre. Who we are looking for: -A passionate and enthusiastic individual with self-initiative; -Strong collaborative skills with ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and work within a team; -Demonstrated experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds; -Ability to identify key opportunities to support local students to identify and achieve their academic goals; -An individual who is dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic about creating opportunities for regional, rural and remote students.
