13.01.2022 A passion for the future of regional communities is what drives me so it was a boost to hang out with the crew at CUC Snowy Monaro in Cooma. The idea of a Count...ry Universities Centre started right here in the #MightyEdenMonaro. In 2021 the network of centres will grow to 15, taking in regional communities across NSW, Queensland and Victoria. In Cooma, the centre has supported 416 students since opening in 2013. This year alone 159 students studied through the Cooma Centre at 29 different Australian universities. Of those, 40% are the first in their family to go to uni - just like me. These guys have an even bigger vision for the future and I look forward to working with them and creating options for country kids.

10.01.2022 Seven years ago, the first step to increasing accessibility to higher education opportunities for regional, rural and remote Australia was taken when the Cooma ...Universities Centre opened its doors. Flash forward to 2020, the Country Universities Centre has now realised this dream for 15 regional communities across Australia, growing our team along the way. At the heart of the CUC is its people and their unwavering dedication to creating quality opportunities for their local communities. We were fortunate to bring our expanded network together in Dubbo last week to grow and learn together as we deepen our support for our students. Head to our website: www.cuc.edu.au for more information about where we are located and how we support our students to succeed. #yourlocallearningcommunity #regionaleducation #wearehereforyou #countryuniversitiescentre
