24.01.2022 This is an example of how I send my designs to the fabric printer. I create one large image containing 3 Cuddle Cushies, send it to the printer who prints it exactly as it appears and then sends it back to me as fabric. This is the most lengthy part of the process. Once I have the fabric I sew the Cushies, stuff them and then stitch closed by hand.

23.01.2022 I’m putting the pencil down for this year folks and kicking the sewing machine into top gear to finish up the awesome amount of final orders I’ve received. Custom orders reopening in January. Stay tuned for some fun Christmas stuff coming up in the next few days.

22.01.2022 I had a message from a parent telling me their two year old was sleeping so much better and waking so happy beside their Cuddle Cushie. I never anticipated the ...impact my Cushies would have on little people, especially this age group who just seem to fall in love with the smiling face. For a while I thought about starch and scotch guarding the Cushies to help keep them clean and smooth but after seeing so many kids smother them in kisses I decided to leave them uncoated. It does mean they are subject to creasing but a hot iron run over them fixes that. 19.01.2022 While things have been a bit quiet in the Cuddle Cushies workshop lately I can’t say the same for my real job! I’m an embroiderer for Perth uniform company Clever Designs Essential Uniforms and while some industries are feeling the pinch right now I’m pleased to report we are in full swing and I’m not slowing down anytime soon. But how good is it to have a boss who appreciates my efforts! I’ve clocked off for this week though and I’ll be back in the Cuddle Cushies workshop tomorrow. Plenty happening behind the scenes there, I’m working on a new website and new products. 14.01.2022 FIFO life. Today is my best friends birthday and he’s away at work. So I’ve sent him off with a little reminder that we are always together, even when we’re not. He was away this day last year too, so I marked the occasion by launching a business, so happy first birthday to Cuddle Cushies too. (Please note, this cushion is not part of the Cushies range.)

14.01.2022 Don’t think for one second that I’d forget about the medical professionals! I’m so excited about these ones, they are just so freakin’ cute! So you might have noticed that I’m finally expanding the Cuddle Cushies Uniformed Collection. Delays with international shipping holding up my fabric prints means there’s been a bit of extra drawing time up my sleeve. Here’s the kicker for me though - seeing as this is a medical post I’ve got license to moan - chronic headaches, migraines and neck tension from drawing on my iPad and computer. It’s such a pain, I literally can’t do a design without it leading to a week or more of migraines. Does anyone else suffer too? What are your best tips for dealing with this? What do you think of the Cuddle Cushies medical team? I think they’re going to make great cuddle buddies.
