25.01.2022 Turtle room As the Turtle room children are focusing on hygiene and cleanliness this week Miss Kathy had set up an activity that included warm soapy water and dirt with a few animals. In this activity the children got the opportunity to transfer the animals from the dirt to the soapy water to wash all the germs away. The children enjoyed rolling the animals around in the dirt and then washing them in the soapy water, this activity was a fun and spontaneous learning experi...ence. Learning Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing 3.2 Children take increasing responsibility for their own health and physical wellbeing.

24.01.2022 Pizza party This morning the cuddles for kids children participated in a fun pizza experience. The idea behind this was for them to design there pizzas to look like bears to extend off our teddy bear picnic theme, however we all got too excited with decorating our pizzas or eating the toppings to add the ears. The children had so much fun in the preschool room spreading the sauce and having a quick taste test of the ingredients and looking forward to what was to com...e at lunch time, Miss Lauren and Miss Lacey made sure to get some photos of them enjoying there pizzas before they ate them all. The toddlers loved selecting there topping with help from Miss Chen and Miss Kathy. Miss Dani and Miss Christine assisted the nursery children will adding there toppings as this was a new experience for them and was great for there hand eye coordination. See more
22.01.2022 Fathers Day This week the penguin room, turtle room and the starfish room have been working on their surprise gifts for dads for this weekend!! We also have been creating our own artworks for our walls for dad to see.
20.01.2022 Tomorrow is red nose day so if your child attends feel free to dress them in red. In the preschool room Miss Lauren has organised making some red cookies and some red play. We are also planning on painting our noses red through the centre
18.01.2022 Recycling week This week each of the rooms have been teaching the children about national recycling week. We had pushed it a week earlier due to other events on next week such as Naidoc and Diwali. During this time the children completed artworks, watched small educational YouTube clips and small group experiences. The preschool room had a few group time which they had the opportunity to take part in organising rubbish that had been brought in from home with Miss Lau...ren and Miss Lacey. We used some of the recycled tissue boxes and used some elastic bands and turn them into guitars. We also used some of the milk bottles, wattle bottles and containers in our home corner and some of the children role played shop keepers using these items. In the toddler room Miss Kathy and Miss Chen used some bubble wrap and cut them into different shapes and got the children to use them as stamps. They also decorated some old glove boxes and Tissue boxes with some cut up paper to enhance their hand- eye coordination and imagination skills. In the nursery the children had explored using recycled cardboard boxes in the outdoor environment as they had the opportunity to free draw and then also extended on the experience with Miss Dani and Miss counters they then started using the boxes as trains, cars, something to crawl through and even just sit inside of. This was such a fun way of learning in each of the rooms. The children enjoyed themselves so much

17.01.2022 This morning the nursery room had some fun with some shaving cream and paint to make it more colourful. This was a fun sensory experience for the babies, they had lots of fun with Miss Christine

16.01.2022 Coin box plaster painting This morning in the preschool room Elie and Isaiah mum brought in some coin plasters for the children to paint as a fun way to celebrate Elies 5th birthday . The children each got their own plaster to paint aswell as with some paint and a paint brush and got the opportunity to go crazy with their creativity skills. This is a great way to challenge the childrens imagination skills and the children had lots of fun doing this craft experience. Thank you Elie and Isaiahs mum the children really enjoyed this experience

Im so proud of the community we live in and ask you all to remember the people in Lebanon in your prayers and hope the goods arrive to them safely.
13.01.2022 Lunch box week ( Big School Children ) This week in the preschool room our school children are getting themselves big school ready with some lunch box preparations. During this time children will be encouraged to put their lunch box in there lockers during drop off and when it is morning tea and lunch time they will be eating what they have prepared at home, they have loved showing their teachers and friends the different foods they have brought in so far. They are also work...ing on manipulating the packaging to open their lunch boxes, containers and dispose of rubbish appropriately and put their belongings away once they finish. The children have done a great job bringing a healthy lunch box with lots of fruits and vegetables the children also get the opportunity to look at their friends lunch boxes to see what they bring to help encourage them to try new foods ! 11.01.2022 Just an update on the foods and goods that were donated to the Beirut Lebanon Appeal. They have now been boxed and stored in the container ready to leave on Saturday. We now pray they arrive safely to the Red Cross who will then distribute to the families in need. Once again thank you all for your generosity. Please keep Lebanon in your prayers
11.01.2022 Teddy bear picnic Week This week the children have been bringing in their teddy bears from home and have been so excited to share them with their friends and teachers. This week we have started off by giving the children the opportunity to create their own teddy bear artworks, have their own picnic with their teddys in dramatic play and will be doing some cooking the next couple of days and have little picnics together in the nice warm weather. 10.01.2022 Glitter fun Today Miss Dani had brought in some empty water bottles from home today to complete the childrens sensory glitter activity. We had filled each of the bottles with water and also then we had placed different colours of glitter which included red, pink, blue and green. We had used this activity as a colour recognition, hand eye coordination and to focus on their gross motor skills. Each of the children enjoyed this activity with Miss Dani and we cant wa...it to introduce it to the rest of the penguin room . Learning outcome 1.4: Children learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect. Learning outcome 4.2: Children develop a range of skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.
10.01.2022 Three little pigs story This morning in the preschool room Miss Lauren set up a fun learning experience for those who wanted to join. This morning we read the three little pigs as apart of our book week theme. To extend off this experience Miss Lauren grabbed a large piece of white paper and we made the three little pigs houses using some string, sticks we found in our garden and some orange craft paper to represent the bricks. Carlos drew the wolf and Elie , Elianora and Adam drew the pigs. The rest of the children helped draw a path and some sky and some grass. To finish if we create our own story to match the picture we drew.

10.01.2022 In an effort to provide some relief for the victims and families for Beiruts devastating explosion, our service is collecting funds, perishable foods and household goods which will go directly to Lebanon to assist in this tragedy. The aim is to send a container to Lebanon by the end of August. So please donate generously by the 20th August, 2020. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!! 09.01.2022 Diwali Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and is celebrated to honor Rama-chandra, the seventh avatar. In the nursery room we had started our beautiful colourful cray paper candles. Today the children each had the opportunity with Miss Dani and Miss Courtney in learning how to stick down the crepe paper to their candle outlines. They had used a range of different colours and glue sticks. They all had so much fun doing this in a group experience.

09.01.2022 BOOK WEEK 2020 Monday 24th- Friday 28th August is book week. This is a fun opportunity for ALL the children to dress up as their favourite book. 08.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK This week is nadioc week, Throughout this week at Cuddles 4 kids we are going to be celebrating NAIDOC week. A celebration held across Australia each year observing the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. During this week we will be engaging our children and team members in different experiences and activities to support awareness and education of the Indigenous Australian Culture. We will complete various a...rt and craft activities, creating flags painting rocks and drawings of traditional dream time stories. Providing the children with these experiences allows to develop their understanding and empathy skills by responding to diversity with respect. You can see the children have already been busy decorating our centre with their handprints on the door
07.01.2022 This morning in the Toddler room Miss Kathy and Miss Chen were extending on our naidoc week theme with putting on some aboriginal music and grabbed our clapping sticks and having the children clap along to the different sounds. This helps with the children’s musical skills and their hand eye coordination Good work toddlers !
05.01.2022 Emotions and feelings This week in the preschool room the children have been building off more parent input with learning about our emotions and feelings. Learning to identify and express feelings in a positive way helps the children to develop the skills they need to manage them effectively. Children who are able to identify, understand, express and manage a wide range of feelings experience long term benefits to their mental health and wellbeing. The activity Miss Lauren set up a fun learning experience to help the children draw some emotions that we have been learning about. The children even came up with some scenarios as to why there faces they drew felt this way.

03.01.2022 Water exploration After lunch time the preschool room went outside for some free play. Miss Lacey had set up some water with some glitter and different objects that the children could use to play with the water. This was a great experience for there imagination skills. Miss Lauren asked the children what it felt like Luka said slime Hana and Andreas described it as looking like earth. They used some of the cups and spoons as measuring tools which helps them working on... there mathematical concepts. Carlos, Riyan, Simon and Adam found a car and made a car wash using the funnel. EYLF 2.1 Children develop a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation. 3.1 Children become strong in their social and emotional wellbeing.
03.01.2022 Spring time As Spring is here, the children in the turtle room have been learning briefly about the season and how the flowers start to blossom. For their art and craft today the children used a sponge with an elastic tied in the middle of it to create a butterfly shape and with different coloured paints to create their own colourful artwork, the children dabbed the sponge onto the paper creating their own beautiful butterflies all over! This was such a fun experience for the children with miss Kathy and Miss Chen. 03.01.2022 Volcano This week the children in the preschool room are learning about natural disasters, Riyan bought in a volcano experiment for his friends to do. Yesterday morning the children helped Miss Lacey mix the plaster and water together and pour the mixture into the volcano mold, we all waited patiently for the plaster to set. In the afternoon yesterday the preschool children invited the toddler children to watch the volcano erupt. Miss Lacey poured the baking soda int...o the top of the volcano and squeezed the red lava through the tube making the volcano EXPLODE. Learning outcome 1.4: Children learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect. 03.01.2022 Soccer joeys Today was the last day of term for soccer joeys and the children that had participated this term had the opportunity to have a small award ceremony with their soccer coach. Each of the children where very excited giving a fist pump and receiving their medals. We are so proud of each of their achievements during the term. Cant wait till term 4 session starts !!
