A reminder to check in via the QR Code upon arrival (see the previous Facebook post) and to respect the use of the facilities. The following link and attached form is a Google form that can be submitted as an online registration for the upcoming season. With a few players being unavailable for the hornets, it gave opportunities for other guys to put in a good performance. 20.01.2022 Senior’s training continues tomorrow at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School. If we get overnight rain, training may be cancelled as the wickets are still currently wet and will require the rest of today and night with the wind to dry out. I will advise as early as possible if there is no training. As with all our sessions due to the current Covid requirements you will need to check in via the QR code or go straight to the form contained in the original training post. We will ...also expect appropriate behaviour whilst being allowed to use the school facilities. This week training will commence at 10:30am and will run to approximately 12pm. 18.01.2022 We have 2 NSW country representatives this year. Alec Williams and James Julius were there in 2012/13 season where we secured that elusive premiership that we worked so hard for. Alec in his inaugural year at representing and James funnily enough has fulfilled his goal 10 years later after representing qld country to rep NSW. This is an outstanding achievement fellas and we wish you two the very best of luck

The LJ Hooker and Coastal League teams have been announced and in the TDCA One Day Competition, the Hornets take on Murwillumbah and the Stingers are up against the Pottsville Pelicans.... Our pre season training for Senior's commences next Saturday 5 September at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, Mahers lane, Terranora. The cricket nets are located on the bottom oval and access is via the Northern driveway entrance off Mahers Lane.... Training will start at 10.30am till approximately 12.30pm We are fortunate to have access to this facility so please be Respectful and follow a few simple behaviour expectations. No alcohol to be consumed or brought onto the school grounds, No bad language and No leaving any rubbish...take it with you. We will be required to follow COVID protocols. I have created a Check in form and QR code to assist this process. Every person in attendance is to check in via this form. If any person feels unwell or displays any cold or flu like symptoms consistent with COVID-19 you MUST NOT attend training, get tested for COVID-19 and self isolate until you receive a negative test result. We look forward to seeing returning and new players for the upcoming season.

10.01.2022 The new cricket season is on the horizon and Cudgen Cricket Club would like to take the time to show their gratitude and appreciation for a long-standing contributor to the mighty Hornets. John King has been almost constantly involved with the Cudgen Cricket Club for the last 58 years and has recently announced his retirement from the position of Club President. John has instigated and been involved in many key moments for the Cudgen Cricket Club and Tweed District Cricket.... Such moments include (but are not limited to): - 1962: Junior cricket player for Cudgen Late 1960s: involved in the preparation of Reg Dalton Oval - 1992-1998: managing, coaching, umpiring and scoring for multiple teams during the re-establishment of Cudgen Junior Cricket - 1998-1999: Cudgen Cricket Club ‘Blue of Blues’ - 1998-2001: Manager & wicket keeper for premiership winning Cudgen 5th grade - 2000s: Tweed District Cricket Vice President & Delegate to Far North Coast Cricket - 2000s: Manager for Tweed District Cricket Representative teams (Under 19s, SCG Cup, NSW Country McDonalds Cup) - 2004-2019/20: President of Cudgen Cricket Club (with the exception of 2 full & 2 half seasons) - 2006: Life Member of Cudgen Cricket Club - 2007-2008: Cudgen Cricket Club ‘Blue of Blues’ - 2011-2014: Assistant coordinator for Cudgen Cricket Club’s Milo in2cricket - 2012-2015: President of Tweed District Junior Cricket Association - 2013-2014: Instigator and coordinator of Under 10s Big Bash on the Tweed - 2016: Tweed District Cricket Association Life Member - MyCricket administrator since its inception - Host of multiple fundraiser for Cudgen Cricket Club, McGrath Foundation & Tweed Hospital - 2019: Played his final game for Cudgen Cricket Club, filling in for 2nd grade John is proud to have been involved in multiple Club accomplishments including 1st Grade 20/20 & LJ Hooker League premierships, 2nd Grade Coastal League premierships, 3rd Grade premierships and an ever growing base of strong up and coming Cudgen cricket players. The strength of Cudgen Cricket Club is heavily influenced by the unwavering and uncompromising support, commitment and passion that John has displayed to the club.
