24.01.2022 Adelaide ACP members at tonight’s protest standing against the militarisation of the police force!

24.01.2022 Systematic racism is an issue inevitable under an oppressive system such as Capitalism, which seeks to divide and exploit the working class people. The United S...tates is a prime example of this systematic racism in action, with African American people being beaten, demonised, and placed under immense social and financial pressure due to nothing but the tone of their skin. Capitalism is not a system that works in the interests of the people, but merely for the ruling class who will use their methods exploitation and oppression in order to gain wealth and power.

23.01.2022 The Australian Communist Party would like to thank everyone who has donated their time and effort to the Street Kitchens operating across the country. Every si...ngle contribution and donation to the Community Union Defence League and our kitchens specifically has been much appreciated and has been highly beneficial to the work we do in the name of the working masses and Socialism. 20.01.2022 Great work to the comrades in Adelaide for holding what was another successful street kitchen in Whitmore Square, providing food, beverages, clothes and health and hygiene products to those in need.

19.01.2022 Another donation from the public for our mowing and landscaping service for those doing it tough. If you have vouchers, money, time, food, or labour to donate to us please get in touch.

19.01.2022 Solidarity with our Comrades in Melbourne. No to bourgeois charity! Yes to Mutual Aid!

19.01.2022 Call for activist solidarity funds needed On the night of October 8, a group of activists were postering for the ACP in the streets of Brisbane. They were con...fronted by a plain-clothes police officer who did not identify himself. The group then attempted to evade the officer, believing he was either a security guard or a right-wing civilian with intent on confronting them. The officer pursued immediately, continuing to not identify himself as QPS, and got a hold of the female activist of the group, forcing her to the ground. Another young activist (Ryan) heard her scream and immediately came to her defence. He shoved the officer from behind, sending him sprawling two metres away and freeing the comrade who was being detained. The officer retaliated by punching and manhandling the comrade coming to the rescue, who had frozen in his place in an ASD response brought on by the confrontation. While on the ground, the comrade was given a very brief moment to put his hands behind his back, after which his hair was grabbed and his head was slammed into the concrete beneath him. His injuries required attention at a local hospital, but has since recovered. As a result of this heavy-handed intervention by police, the young comrade who came to another’s rescue is facing the very serious charge of assaulting police. Another activist was also assaulted in a different area after they were caught up with, and was tackled to the ground, having his chest forced into the ground by the officer’s knee, restricting his breathing and causing him significant pain. Legal representation is being organised and this is a call for financial contributions for this aid and any resulting penalty. The young comrades involved are fully deserving of our support. Postering is one of the few propaganda opportunities open to those acting in defence of the working-class and the other less privileged sections of our community. We are locked out of mainstream (corporate) media. Comrades should not be criminalised for this act or for coming to the defence of a person being subjected to an assault. Please donate to their defence fund by clicking the link below. gf.me/u/y52zzr

19.01.2022 Got plenty of food to hand out for the street kitchen, but now thanks to comrade Fred Paterson, we’ve also got personal care gear including soap, tissues, and also toothbrushes taken by force from your conservative relatives, just as they’ve always feared would happen.

18.01.2022 If you live in Townsville and have materials you can donate, or otherwise are able to donate, check out these great comrades in North Queensland who are out serving the people.

18.01.2022 Cops aren't your mates. They aren't here to protect and serve us.

18.01.2022 On Friday, the Australian Communist Party Brisbane branch joined arms with Black Lives Matter Meanjin to protest the State Government’s announcement to add an extra $642 billion to the police, adding over 2000 policemen in Queensland. Around 200 people showed up in solidarity but were met with an overwhelming and intimidating police response. During Covid, this money should not be going towards the police, but towards the people, those affected by loss of jobs, loss of opport...unity, loss of family, loss of home. Instead the state wants more bastards in blue. QPS are not your friend. They have a horrid track record of brutality and scummy behaviour. It’s absolutely disgusting that the police would intimidate those protesting their own brutality. Two people died in police custody in 2019, both of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Fifteen died the year before. There are already too many coppers and not enough justice.

18.01.2022 Great work CUDL Sydney!

17.01.2022 From the Australian Communist Party- Today on the 25th of September, the Federal Government of Australia has begun the rollback on the Job-Seeker supplement scheme aimed to alleviate the economic strain many Australians had been placed under. The Liberal & National Government have shown their contempt for the working class consistently during the Coronavirus crisis. This is but the latest attack on the working class of Australia which is pushing millions closer towards pover...ty by now effectively reducing their daily budget from $79.65 to $58 on average. However, the conservatives have not only stopped there. The Job-Seeker payment for singles, excluding the added supplement sits at roughly $565 which works out to be only $40.30 per day and with the added supplement of $550, it totals as $1,115 a fortnight combining both. The Morrison government will now reduce that supplement to $250 a fortnight and will continue to reduce the supplement as they have not indicated to permanently raising the amount that unemployed people on Job-Seeker receive. The Australian Communist Party will do all in its capacity to assist those currently facing food insecurity, homelessness and foreseeable evictions. With the establishment of food distribution services, emergency housing and defence against the foreseeable evictions after the lifting of the moratorium on evictions in Australia. We must come together and support each other. We must serve the people!

17.01.2022 For anyone doing it tough and wanting to connect with loved ones.

17.01.2022 Donation of 30 Green Waste vouchers from a friend. This will drastically reduce the cost of our mowing and landscaping service for those doing it tough. If you have vouchers, money, time, food, or labour to donate to us please get in touch.

17.01.2022 Are you having difficulties making ends meet due to Covid-19 or the recent Centrelink cuts? The Community Union Defence League - Brisbane would like to hear your voice. If you have the time, please fill out our survey below so we can find out what our community needs and how we can best meet those needs. At the end of 2020, Queensland's moratorium on evictions due to Covid-19 will be lifted. However, the economic shock that has impacted Queensland is still in its beginning st...age. Many Queenslanders are facing severe economic hardship and the federal government has decided to respond by reducing the Covid-19 Centrelink Payment for Jobseekers. This is at the same time that there are over 13 applicants for every Job! Now, more than ever, it is clear that we as a community must come together to look after the most vulnerable people in our community, and to fight for our rights. Please see our survey link here: shorturl.at/qvCFV

16.01.2022 The days are getting longer and a little more warm - but the people still need our support! People are falling through the cracks in the system and being left b...ehind. Every Sunday from 3-6pm, the CUDL crew host a street kitchen in front of the State Library on Swanston Street (and every Saturday from 3-6pm in Dandenong at the Plaza). It's amazing what a warm meal, and a few precious necessities like toothbrushes and paste, blankets and masks, can mean for those who need it most! We're stoked to be able to provide a space that people can access and feel supported directly by others in the community. Here's a short video about some of the work that we're doing on the streets of Narrm, get in contact with us if you want to show solidarity with some of the most vulnerable members of our community - every little bit helps! We're here to serve the people! #solidarity #melbourne #narrm #dandenong #community #survivalprograms

13.01.2022 Stand with the people!

13.01.2022 The oppressed peoples can liberate themselves only through struggle. This is a simple and clear truth confirmed by history. -Kim Il-Sung

13.01.2022 There are many criticisms and much discussion around the environmentalist movement, with all the to and fro and arguments there is one thing that is certain. So long as it progresses along the path it is on at this moment; it is bound to be a movement of impotence. That is to say, it is marching into its own grave. It cannot be said, however, that it will have no impact. Concessions will be handed out and minimal efforts will be made by the ruling elites to satisfy the activists, only false change will be made.

13.01.2022 Serving the people.

12.01.2022 A true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love for the people and the world in which they reside. It is because of this love that the revolutionary seeks to free the world and people from the Capitalist system and the destruction it causes.

11.01.2022 Climate change is an issue that is devastating the planet and threatening all life on Earth. It is an issue that exists solely because of the Capitalist system,... which cares not about the environment, the people or the planet, but only the wealth and power they obtain from the destruction of such precious things. The bourgeoisie will never seek to completely resolve the issue of climate change, nor will they ever operate in a truly sustainable, environmentally friendly manner, but they will seek to constantly appease the concerned masses while ensuring the ruling class earns as much as possible. This is not only because the bourgeoisie possess little interest in such things besides when it allows for personal gain, but it is also because they do not perceive it as a worthwhile endeavour. They perceive it as too costly and a threat to the wealth they steal from the working class. One victim of this is the Great Barrier Reef, which is one of many reefs being slowly destroyed due to Climate Change. True environmental protection and preservation can only be achieved under a system not blinded by wealth gain and individualism, and that truly supports the wishes of the working masses. Socialism is the only way to rid the world of environmental destruction and truly work towards ending climate change.

11.01.2022 Serving the people at our new location.

03.01.2022 The concept of mutual aid is not just some abstract idea, dreamed up by idealistic academics. It is already practiced widely in working class communities, where mates helping each other out in hard times is already part of our national culture, there is already an impulse to assist our peers and friends. https://www.auscp.org.au//mates-helping-mates-mutual-aid-i

03.01.2022 This is the theme that is seen across the globe under Capitalism. As some nations grow wealthier others become impoverished. As a small minority of people becom...e wealthier a majority of the population suffers. This is because this wealth is obtained through the ruthless exploitation of entire nations and is maintained by violence and oppression. Wealth is not gained ethically.

03.01.2022 We’ve been flat out today. If yo’d like to become involved please let us know. Serve the people!

02.01.2022 We now have CUDL chapters and street kitchens in six cities running eight street kitchens regularly serving thousands of hot, nutritious meals to the homeless. CUDL chapters have branched out into home maintenance for people struggling to stay in rented accommodation and Sydney Branch is on the verge of launching its Freedom Van to help women escape domestic violence.

02.01.2022 HUSK is a small grass-roots collective that provides housing, advocacy, and case support for people experiencing homelessness or domestic violence. They primari...ly support women, transgender people, and families, and many of the people who they support are First Nations, migrants and/or refugees. Their collective is entirely volunteer-run, with the people who are directly experiencing homelessness or domestic violence forming an integral part of our volunteer base. This allows all their money to go directly to the people HUSK are supporting, in the form of rent, bills, medical expenses, food, legal fees, and other essential needs. Their latest campaign: With no prior notice, hundreds of refugees have been moved out of community detention onto a temporary bridging visa. The reason given for this sudden change in their circumstances was budget constraints. These people, including a number of families, have less than three weeks to find a job and a house. While many of them are eager to work and have done their best to find their own homes, they have no rental or work history in Australia and are constrained by a limited six month working visa, all in the midst of a pandemic and unemployment crisis. The bridging visa is not a step forwards, at the end of the six month period, they face returning to community, onshore or offshore detention. HUSK are opening additional houses to support refugee families who are now experiencing homelessness due to this sudden visa change. HUSK are asking for regular monthly donations of $25 or more to support the ongoing housing and legal costs for these families. Donations can be sent to: HUSK BSB: 063 097 Account: 1141 0001 If you can’t commit to a regular donation, any amount is appreciated.

02.01.2022 Come along to celebrate one year of Brisbane CUDL, whether you’re in need or want to find out about CUDL and how you can help. Vegan and Vegetarian options available.

02.01.2022 At a street kitchen recently, I was approached by two members of the community who organised and ran their own coffee service for the homeless before the Covid pandemic. After much discussion, I asked them how they knew we would be there, or if they ran into our service by chance. The answer put a smile on my face; they explained that they [the homeless] said to come on Sunday, that’s when the communists come. They told me how gutsy they felt we were for being openly communist and seemed happy to see a vibrant service, run by energetic and welcoming youth. The interaction reminded me how I was formerly weary of being openly communist and even opposed parties using the word communist in their names.

02.01.2022 If you know anyone in Adelaide, please encourage them to help if they can.
