25.01.2022 Something to watch in your downtime - American Pool - https://youtu.be/IlEbql6wbWQ

25.01.2022 And we are away on day 2 - Ronnie 10 - Kyren 7

24.01.2022 ROBERTSON'S UK HAT-TRICK At the end of an epic final that went to all the way, finished well past midnight and included a deciding frame that went on f...or over an hour, Neil Robertson coolly potted the last pink to oust world number one Judd Trump and secure his third #UKChampionship title. Trump looked poised to claim the trophy for a second time when he led 9-8 and by 48 points, but a missed red allowed the Australian to construct a gutsy clearance (including a nervy brown) to take the final to a nineteenth frame for the first time since 2014. In a protracted decider that saw the balls go scrappy, Robertson gained control, but when he missed near the finish line, Trump edged back into it. The Englishman later had an opportunity with the five remaining colours but he over cut the pink which was slotted away by Robertson. Perhaps not the sort of final we were expecting, but it was a classic in its own special way. There were four centuries in the match - Robertson made three of them, meaning his tournament tally of 13 was a record for a UK Championship.

Please Note 8Ball in venues is not fully finalised as yet and the final requirements / restrictions will not be known until Friday 28/08. While competition 8ball is not formally mentioned As the governing body for our eight member associations and players, we hope we are included in this return to a sport. Lets see what the next week brings and where we are all at, but what great news on the horizon this is. Once we get the GREEN LIGHT to start competition WE will forward this to all Associations

01.01.2022 Eightball Tasmania have been busy in the background working with Tasmania Sport and Recreation (Tasmanian Government) on what will be required for - 1. The Stat...e Body to resume at some stage. (No confirmed date at this stage, we would like to run Open, Womens and Masters Singles titles) 2. Member Associations of Eightball Tasmania for competition play. We have been advised that the main body and our member association will all need a COVID-19 Safety Plan and the plan to be approved to return to a competition basis in the future. We hope to have a model Safety COVID-19 Plan distributed in the next week to our members to recommend you will adopt. It will be up to each Association on what they may decide to do with the plan, but will give our members some guidance. Reminder to member associations we would assume you will also need to work closely with your venues on rules when and if you return to a competition basis - Thank you Tony for your help in putting this together so far.
