21.01.2022 This one needs sound. I met a guy last year who does this sort of work. He lives in Sydney and the company he works for does sound effects for TV shows all over the world. Including lots of shows in the UK. I didn’t realise so many after effects were added to TV shows. Movies maybe. But TV shows?!?... After meeting him, I’ve never listened to TV the same way since. Anyway, enjoy this food related vid.

20.01.2022 Not food...sorry...but something I’d like to share ATAR ANXIETY For students and parents:... As someone who has worked in Unis for over 13 years and who has worked a lot with prospective students. Please know that your ATAR is not the be all and end all. There are other ways of entry. University’s will want to get as many students as they can. They are businesses. So please - during this stressful time, don’t allow ATAR and exams to add to that stress if you can avoid it. It is one of the things in life that is given way too much focus and power. I don’t know why. It was like that when I was at school too. Just know, there are ways into university if need be. Do what you can, but not at the expense of your mental and physical health. https://www.abc.net.au//daniel-andrews-says-year-/12123498

19.01.2022 Want to know Australia’s largest problem when it comes to diet? Discretionary food intake (non-essential foods, aka ‘junk’ foods and drinks). A ...key reason why this is a problem is because it replaces the intake of core, healthy foods in the diet, like fruits, vegetables and whole grains. If we were to eat just three meals a day, one of the meals would be entirely discretionary. That’s because one-third of our daily energy intake comes from these foods and beverages that provide us with pleasure, but with little nutrition. We took a deep dive to find out exactly how, what and when we eat discretionary foods and beverages in Australia. Our research found that almost everyone is eating more than what’s recommended, and that it’s not just what we’re eating, but also how much we’re eating in one sitting that’s our problem. Alcohol including wine and beer, is often forgotten but was a big contributor to discretionary intakes among adults. Remember every glass counts this silly season! Next time you’re having something discretionary, why not share your portion with a friend? To find out more about our research, head over to the link below. https://buff.ly/2P3Uihy
