25.01.2022 Since the Bright Festival of Photography (BFOP) event, I have been inspired when possible to undertake photos that connect people to their surrouning environment. A few months back, I undertook some photography with my daughter - Gaia Davey at Victoria park and we were aiming to create some scenes for a movie she was making for school. I took the opportunity to get some shots of her when the lighting was right. I aimed to capture the yellow browns of her eyes to bring out a warmth of her face and yet create a dark cold backdrop to give the photos a mood of foreboding created by the Forest setting. I love this type of photography and hope to explore it more in the future with willing models!

13.01.2022 When I attended the Bright Festival of Photography (BFOP) event last year, I enrolled in a workshop called Mindfulness which involved using a real model. We were introduced to the beautiful model CJ and our tutor Jessica Shepherd taught us how to communicate with CJ to ask her politely if she could change into a certain pose or position, to capture the shot we were after. That workshop was one of the most inspirational workshops I undertook, as it taught me about how to work with people, how to communicate well with them, how to create a relaxing environment (to encourage natural poses) and how to photograph people in the natural environment. I would do this workshop again in a heartbeat - it was so much fun!
